Posted January 8, 20241 yr #Eagles S Sydney Brown suffered what’s believed to be a torn ACL today against the #Giants, sources say. He’ll undergo testing tomorrow to confirm. Rough end to a promising rookie season that included a 99-yard pick six last week. - Mike Garafolo https://x.com/mikegarafolo/status/1744170356238061839?s=46&t=dks90ya_kn9O4hOh8OIJ1A
January 8, 20241 yr It's too bad. I would have liked to see him really build off his playing time this offseason and making a big jump. He'll probably be rehabbing into next season. I wasn't unpleased with McCollum today, though. He showed a little promise at safety.
January 8, 20241 yr That’s a huge bummer. He played recklessly often but he has the tools to be a solid safety. Just needs experience so the game slows down for him. Sadly, it looks like his development will be postponed.
January 8, 20241 yr He’s good at times and awful at times. Basically what you expect from a third round rookie in his first season. It’ll be interesting to see what he does year 2… if he even can play.

You are funny because you believe the Eagles can win in the playoffs.
January 8, 20241 yr Thats a shame. Didn't see what happened but was probably only a matter of time before he was seriously injured the way he plays
January 8, 20241 yr It’s a real shame for Brown and a loss for this team. But honestly I think it was sadly inevitable and the decision makers kind of what got they deserved. There was no real logical need to have the starters out there. And yes I know the argument of playing for the division but that was such a long shot. The cons far outweighed the single pro.

Sydney would have had to play regardless because someone has to. This argument holds no water here.

No but he’s a ST player and he’s played a lot of defense due to injuries and due to lack of production from players.

Ok yeah that’s fair he would have had to play because he’s a rotation guy and so yeah I concede there. But there were guys out there that had no business being out there in that game on that field.
