#Eagles S Sydney Brown suffered what’s believed to be a torn ACL today against the #Giants, sources say. He’ll undergo testing tomorrow to confirm. Rough end to a promising rookie season that included a 99-yard pick six last week. - Mike Garafolo

It's too bad. I would have liked to see him really build off his playing time this offseason and making a big jump. He'll probably be rehabbing into next season.

I wasn't unpleased with McCollum today, though. He showed a little promise at safety.

That’s a huge bummer.  He played recklessly often but he has the tools to be a solid safety.  Just needs experience so the game slows down for him.  Sadly, it looks like his development will be postponed.

He’s good at times and awful at times. Basically what you expect from a third round rookie in his first season. It’ll be interesting to see what he does year 2… if he even can play.

You are funny because you believe the Eagles can win in the playoffs.

Thats a shame. Didn't see what happened but was probably only a matter of time before he was seriously injured the way he plays

It’s a real shame for Brown and a loss for this team. But honestly I think it was sadly inevitable and the decision makers kind of what got they deserved. There was no real logical need to have the starters out there. And yes I know the argument of playing for the division but that was such a long shot. The cons far outweighed the single pro.

Brown wasn’t a starter. Byard and Reed are. Sydney would have had to play regardless because someone has to. This argument holds no water here.

That stadium should just be burned down to the ground and start over........

No but he’s a ST player and he’s played a lot of defense due to injuries and due to lack of production from players.

Still doesn’t change the fact he’d have had to play regardless.

Ok yeah that’s fair he would have had to play because he’s a rotation guy and so yeah I concede there. But there were guys out there that had no business being out there in that game on that field.

There are plenty of people around here you can invite to your little pity party. But I digress, what does that have to do with the reply you quoted?

With the time off, I hope he recovers well and learns how to tackle.

Considering where current stadiums are with design and ammeninties....the Linc is pretty crappy.

I honestly agree and have said so in other posts/threads.....the Linc does absolutely nothing for me as a fan.
