This doesn't mean Vegas thinks the Eagles are better, or should win.  It's a market, a number intended to generate interest and action. The Eagles have been favored in all the games they've lost recently because the public pounds the Eagles.

The Eagles are 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 games and were favored in every one while the Bucs are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games and 5-1 SU.

Now let's circle back to home field advantage. Back in the day, playing at home was worth about 3 points. Now, with improvements in technology, travel, nutrition, hydration, and so on, that advantage is only about 1.4 points.

Line: Eagles -2.5
Total: 44
Moneyline: Eagles -154/Bucs +130

Looking at Super Bowl futures, the Eagles and Dolphins are 16/1; only 5 teams have lower odds.

San Francisco 49ers +220
Baltimore Ravens +310
Buffalo Bills +650
Dallas Cowboys +750
Kansas City Chiefs 10/1
Philadelphia Eagles 16/1
Miami Dolphins 16/1
Detroit Lions 18/1
Cleveland Browns 35/1
Houston Texans 40/1
Los Angeles Rams 45/1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 60/1
Green Bay Packers 90/1
Pittsburgh Steelers 120/1

Looking a the two defenses, I'd be very surprised if the Eagles win in TB.

But there is hope, back in the 2006 season, which was the only year Paton won a SB with the Colts, their defense was horrible, I recall watch some of those games.

When the 2006 playoff season began, that same defense wash playing like their hair was on fire, that's the kind of turn around the Eagle D is going to need just to beat the Bucs.

BTW, Joseph Addai kept that sorry defense off the field with his strong running, that's a hint for Dumbarse Howie.

I miss the days of Angelo chewing out Howie. It was so entertaining.

I still can't believe or get my head around this. Favourites on the road after the last 6 or so weeks? The way this team has been playing? That is literally free money to bet on Tampa at +2.5. Hell it is free money if you back them at -2.5 quite frankly.
