Let's start with Eagles needs-

  • CB Roby and Scott are FA's and Bradberry is shot. We have the young guys and still have Slay. Priority but not a top one
  • S Byard is signed but won't play on the current deal, Sydney Brown has a knee, McCollum is untested. High priority even though Howie might not think so
  • LB Bradley, Cunningham and Morrow are all FA's. Leonard is shot. VanSunmmeran is too iffy. High priority
  • DE/Edge BG is a free agent, bring him back. Need more pass rush from the second unit. High priority
  • DT Is Fletch coming back? Hope so. If no then it's a priority
  • WR Quez, OZ and Jones are all FA's. Can't play without a third wideout. Priority
  • RB Penny, Scott, and Swift are all FA's. Can't play without running backs. Priority
  • OL Is Kelce coming back? I don't think so.  Driscoll and Opeta are both FA's Priority
  • TE Albert O is a FA. So what?
  • ST Mann and Lovato are FA's - need to bring them back
  • QB Mariota is a FA - ewven if McKee can step in we need another

With this list both draft AND free agency are important. We can't fill all of the needs with draft picks.

Draft including projected comps-

  • 1 G Troy Fautanau, Washington 6'3" 310. If Kelce goes Jurgens moves over and we'll need a starter
  • 2 S Kamren Kinchens, Maimi (FL) 5'11 202 4.49. Like it or not Howie has to make this move, there is no one else
  • 2 LB Edgerrin Cooper Texas A&M 6'2" 230 Just like S - the cupboard is bare, Hwie has to bite the bullet
  • 3 WR Ladd McConkey Georgia 6'0" 185 4.53. Perfect slot guy to complement the big 2
  • 5 RB Will Shipley Clemson 5'10" 205 Versitile load sharer
  • 5 Edge Jack Sawyer Ohio State 6'4" 260. We never dod replace Barnett - here's the guy
  • 5 OL Blake Fisher Notre Dame 6'6" 327 Stout like them big
  • 5 CB Kris Abrams Draine Missouri 5'11" 178 4.46
  • 6 JaCorey Brooks Alabama 6'1" 205 4.45 H-W-S prospect

Well, that draft just won't fill the roster so free agenchy is big this year. I don't know about cap space so here's my wish list. They alkl come form losing teams and all might want to come for a shot at winning in 2034.

  • Edge - Brian Burns CAROLINA
  • CB Jeff Okudah ATLANTA
  • WR Michael Pittman INDY
  • LB Kenneth Murray LA CHARGERS
  • RB Joshua Kelly LA CHARGERS
  • G Dalton Risner MINNESOTA
  • QB Jacoby Brisett WASHINGTON

Really like the direction you've gone here.

It would be criminal for Howie to neglect Safety and Linebacker again in 2024 given the horrid defense of this year's squad.

I know that it's early in the draft scouting process, but these are the concerns I have with the draft order of the prospects you've selected:

*I'm seeing Kinchens going late 1st round in most of the mocks and simulators. Chance he might fall to Saints 2nd round pick, but a slim one.

*Abrams-Draine definitely will not fall into the 5th round unless his performance at the Combine is historically bad. Most mocks and sims have him solidly going late RD2-RD3.

*Same with Shipley. He probably goes anywhere between late RD2-RD4.

The rest look about right in terms of where they will be selected.

My other issue is going Guard with the 1st round pick. I'm okay with it, but wasn't there discussion that Steen was being groomed to take over at RG? If not, then it's definitely a good pick.

Glad that discussions are being had. Always enjoy this time of year!

He WAS - but in the last half of the year he was inactive most weeks and Opeta was the active backup guard. Then when Dickerson got hurt - Opeta came in for him also. My guess is that he didn't pick up the mental part quick enough and Stout had had enough.
