Javon Baker (WR, UCF) -- DRAFTED BY NEW ENGLAND #110

Javon Baker is a 6'1'' 208lb senior WR. He started his career at Alabama but really didnt get any opportunities. At UCF in 2022 he caught 56 passes for 796 yards and 5TDs. This year he had 52/1139/7.

This WR class is so deep. This guy is a bonafide deep threat with game breaking speed and hes nowhere near the top of the WR rankings. I dont think this guy is a #1 WR, or even a #2 at this stage. But I wouldnt rule out him becoming a solid #2 with a few years of development. Right now, hes got a chance to be what we hoped Quez could be after a promising 2nd season before his significant regression.

Id be happy to land Baker in the middle rounds. Quez is a free agent. This may be an upgrade.

Sleeper WR here. He's sneaky good. I swear there seems to be gems all the way to like the top 25 WR prospect.

still kind of a sleeper but he did have a solid week at the senior bowl.

Still, theres enough WR talent where I dont think you have to worry about missing out on him before the 3rd round and might still get in the 4th.

I am coming real soon with a much deeper sleeper.

Just watched a Senior Bowl wrap up that put Baker in the 2nd. I’ll have to watch him.

More focus on the premium positions, as Howie/Fangio get S and LB figured out in FA (hopefully).
