Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB, Purdue) -- DRAFTED BY N.Y. GIANTS #166

Im not in love with this prospect. But hes intriguing for the fact that he spent 5 years as a WR at Iowa, and then became a RB for Purdue. Now, obviously- super old prospect.

5'11'' 209lb

He was never dominant as a WR for Iowa. Small caveat that none of their WRs ever are. But still.... not an impressive WR prospect.

And at RB, hes not super impressive. But not terrible either. I think hes a little like Gainwell there. Some elusiveness. Some strength to run through tackle attempts. By no means a power back. Does not have the top end speed youd like to see. Good, but not great speed.

But if we are bringing motion in to this offense, Trace looks like the kind of guy who can potentially create mismatches for a defense. He isnt just running RB routes. He isnt just lining up in the slot. Hes a flanker, a slot WR, a gadget guy on jet motions, and reverses, and a regular RB who happens to have those WR hands.

Im not going to pound the table for him unless RB is still a need after free agency and we are in the 6th or 7th round of the draft (currently dont even have picks). Ill probably hope to get him in round 7 if we get a pick, or better yet in UDFA. Not a guy Ill get super excited about, but Id be interested to see how Moore might use him.

This is far fetched, and unlikely to happen- but this guy is potentially a poor mans Kamara.

He meadsured in exactly as listed.

4.48 40, and 40'' vertical. Obviously a very inexperienced RB, but nice athlete to move all over the formation.
