League rules prevent a trade back to the Eagles.  Ain't happening.

So after all that they could trade him to another NFC team and we get a 2nd regardless of the condition of snaps and play time?

Yeah, I don't know if I knew this until today but there's a rule that a team can't trade a player, then trade to get him back until 2 years have passed... though I think if he's traded to another team, then the original team could trade with that team and get the player back. But I'm not sure on that part.

The Jets trade him to Carolina (we get NY's 2nd).  Carolina then trades him to us for Ricks and a 5th!  :excited:

Then he holds out for a better contract and we trade him back to the Jets for a 3rd...

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on the Lions after the Hutchinson injury. Assuming they could afford bringing him in and giving him some sort of contract or pay bump.

Go Lions.

An extra RD2 pick in 2025 is big.

Shore up this horrendous DL outside of Carter.

EDGE, DT, and a stud LB in first two rounds.

Road to Redemption.

Sad but true.

His track record is horrifying.

<Camera zoom in on me>

Lurie, if you read these boards, I'll do draft scouting for a measly $100,000/year.

Howie can focus on what he is good at.

Totally, just look how bad Q and Dejean look so far.

First two picks in 2024 have turned out very nicely so far

I agree with Q but too early to tell with DeJean.

Even a monkey throwing darts at a draft board can get lucky sometimes.

I’m guessing this is sarcasm? Because Q has been good and DeJean looked very good on his first start.

Any trade clauses to adjust for the holdout or is the 2nd round pick a pipe dream now?

Nope, basically this worked out perfectly for the Jets where he now has no chance to meet snap requirements

Sure seems that way.  With the Devante Adams trade, Jets look to be all in this year.

The snap count was a pipe dream from the getgo

You old enough to remember when the Eagles were perennial losers?  I am.  Since the turn of the century - Eagles have had five losing seasons, two .500 seasons, and seventeen winning seasons.  Sixth best record in the NFL.

You know how many fan bases would be happy with that?

I’ve been an Eagles fan for about 45 years (late 70’s/early 80’s) so I remember the lean years.

To sum up being an Eagles fan, "close but no cigar”.

Only really matters if you bring home a championship.  Thank goodness we did in that stretch!  Now let's hope for another before I am too old to remember my name.
