TJ Tampa (CB, Iowa State) -- DRAFTED BY BALTIMORE #130

Featured Replies

Listed at 6’2, 200 (pre combine). Has all the physical attributes and can hit. Pretty good man press cb. Good mirror and decent firing out of his zone near his area. Can handle small, shifty wrs in space and in man2man. He’s got some twitch and athleticism to him.

raw. Instincts need to be honed. He does not go out of his area for anything so it looks like he’s lazy at times. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s dedicated to his responsibilities or if he’s just got bad instincts.

currently has a 2nd round grade.

Solid pick.

It’s take your pick from a group of RTs in the 1st and Rakestraw/Tampa in the 2nd -or- take your pick from a group of CBs in the 1st and then select the offensive tackle from BYU/Yale… and a WR.

I like what I see here. Looks physical and he likes to hit but I like that his coverage looks tight. He’s right around his guy and the ball. Plus he can step up and stuff the run.
