He said he didn't want it to cause any locker room issues or players to think he's playing favorites like why did he get a contract and I didn't. It could be just a way to avoid a real answer since he has many decisions to make. Maybe he was waiting to see how things went the rest of the season, and evaluate after. I think he will re-sign Baun, who will take a deal to stay with the team that believed in him, gave him a chance, and he's a feature player on the #1 defense in the NFL. Don't mess it up going somewhere else and not doing as well. Smitty could have gone elsewhere for more money. Some players stay in a winning organization.
