Dream team

Always liked parker coming out, hes shown flashes throughout his career but never enough, as a 3 he cant be worse than quez smd or oz and hes got some length.

Not bad

Can he play LB?

Or S?? :ph34r::ph34r:

He's pretty bad, but well, he was free.

I would have preferred a young reclamation project like Parris Campbell or Van Jefferson but whatever. I guess Devonta will move into the slot in 3 WR sets since Parker is more of an outside deep threat.

No thank you

Actually on second thought I kind of hate the move. Dude is 31 and looks like he might be cooked. Not sure he's even an upgrade over Quez/Zaccheus.

He may not even make the 53.  Since NE is picking up most of the tab it really doesn’t hurt to bring him in and get a complete evaluation of him.  I’ve been thinking they’ll use one of their day 2 or 3 draft picks on a WR … I don’t think this changes those plans.

Come on, he’s better than Quez.

Not sure about the move. Perhaps insurance, because they plan to make a run at a WR in the draft.

He stinks and is cooked

He’s solid enough… I know he’s been a little disappointing during his career but I think he’s an upgrade on Quez and Jones. Plus with that kind of contract he’s just going to compete. They still need to add another WR.

He put up the same numbers in New England's dumpster fire of an offense that he did his last year in Miami, I think he's fine as a #3, it's not like we've had guys giving the statisticians writers cramp at #3 lately.  I had harbored faint hopes we might swing for the fences and sign Tyler Boyd but I guess we're reaching the bottom of the wallet.

Yeah I’m surprised by the responses. As WR #3 he’s what the fifth option right now? Behind AJ, Smith, Goedert and Barkley.

I don't think Parker has any upside.  Low cost or not, it just doesn't make any sense to sign him.  What does he bring to the table? Nothing.

And guys like Tyler Boyd and Marquise Brown still out there, either of them would make much more sense.  Hell, many other available WRs would make more sense: MVS, Curtis Samuel, KJ Osbourne, Van Jefferson...I'd take any of those guys over Parker.

I suppose they can try to add someone in the draft.  Either way, this team needs a legitimate WR3 and actually involve him in the offense.

And do any of those guys want to come here in and be the clear WR #3 and likely the 5th passing option? On an offense with 2 WRs who go over 1000 yards, a TE who goes around 1000 yards if he can stay healthy and a RB who’s just signed to be a weapon?

Good offenses spread the ball around.  Sirianni is the guy who constantly says "the offense runs through Brown, Smith and Goedert"...which is a dumb philosophy.  Sure, they're the main guys, but they need to involve other players more consistently. They literally have nobody after WR1 and WR2.

A very long shot. I don't see him succeeding..Unless our OC can find couple of special plays for him. Then he might be alright.. I putt my faith in Moore more than Parker.

You that's a Hurts thing or a scheme thing? Maybe both due to loss of trust in Quez?

The last 4 years he has been dead last in the NFL in separation.  Maybe he can help in the red zone and in moving the chains on shorter throws

None of those guys put up markedly better numbers than Parker with better QB's than Mac Jones throwing them the ball last year.
