I don't expect him to be the player he was.  But he is an upgrade.  Plus, he's only 26.  So it's a good move.

Yeah - would be nice to have some talented young depth learning from a veteran for the future if we can’t re-sign White after a year.

We don't have a glaring need at safety anymore and the two starters are still young. I'd rather see Smith get his extension before the WR contract bar is raised another $5M per season.

Howie digging in the bargain bin once again  to address the LB position.  It burned the Eagles this season with a historically bad defense.

So I know PFF needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, but his PFF grades are horrific! I remember him looking great as part of that Super Bowl TB team though.

Combo preference #2:  Payton Wilson or Edgerrin Cooper in rd 2, Jaylan Ford in rd 4 (would need to do some wheeling and dealing to add a 4th)

At this point...because Howie chose to be at this point....White is about as good of a signing as we can get.  

Positives: Young, physically talented, good pass rusher, upside.  Maybe Fangio can get him back on track.

Negatives: Best season was 2020, has declined since then...all the way to getting benched last year. The benching may have had to do with him free-lancing too much and not sticking to assignments.  Not known to be a good cover LB.  Is his head in the game?

I still really, REALLY hope we spend one of our 2nd rounders on a long term LB.  

Wow, an actual NFL caliber LB? Very cool! Hopefully Dean can stay healthy and we might actually have a solid two-some at the position.

My only hope for White is that he will better allow Fangio to get his system implemented as he sees fit with players that can actually play the position at somewhat of a respectable level and not have to change what he wants to do due to lack of appropriate personnel.  Who knows maybe White will resurrect his career here and end up being a perfect fit and is signed to stay around after this season.  I do hope signing him doesn't alter any draft plans though (it shouldn't) and that those initial plans include addressing the position group in the draft with solid prospects.  There are a few players (mentioned in last post) that I think would be really good additions.

Just what we need. Another LB who can't cover.  We are gonna watch this team get killed over the middle of field all season again.

A lot of questions about him... extremely overhyped LB....., who is better than anything we have. I hope he works out.
