You have a problem with defensive people?

😂 not you, of course.  I make an exception for you due to your bubbly personality

Maybe because the coaches who made that evaluation were fired? I don't know, doesn't it always come down to how much a player is being paid, at least with the better teams that aren't shuffling qbs like headless chickens?

Pickett is more proven than McKee. they're trying to win now. it makes all the sense in the world. i still think Pickett is trash but being with a better team will make him better from the get go. if you can win with that garbage they've had in Pittsburgh than he should be able to get you a couple wins for when Hurts is out. McKee has done nothing so far. can't take that risk in a win now window

After last year's disaster, I think we are in a major overhaul.

Did you see that regression/losing streak in the second half of last year?

Both coordinators changed out. Active in free agency so far.

With the offensive talent we have, I could see some urgency/the window is open to win now. I get it.

But will the newly refurbished defense be able to get off the field?

His receivers in Pitt weren't garbage, I don't know why people in here keep claiming he had a horrible supporting cast, nobody in Pittsburgh believes that, the Pitt beat writers were brutal about this guy, he's no good.

Wasn’t policing the board, far from it…on page 6 there was comic relief regarding the hand size that you might have enjoyed.  Preferred not to give away the joke and direct you to instead.  Defensive much?

Nah, not usually, but occasionally I can be a ****

the signings suggest otherwise. why sign Saquon if you dont think you're in a win now mode? me personally? i'm considering this a throw away year because they didn't get rid of Sirianni. that whole situation makes think Moore or Fangio will be interim HC before this season is done. i'm guessing they feel having an overwhelming offense that will put pressure on opposing offenses to score will allow this defense to pin their ears back and bum rush the qb like in 22.

he was in pittsburgh. one of the most offensively inept franchises in the league. coming here he has a chance to be better than he was in pittsburgh. all he had was pickens lets be honest. if he comes in for hurts he will have on paper a top 5- 10 offense in the league. he can push the ball down the field with real dudes that can catch. if he has to start more than like 3 games the season is a wash anyway lol.

Diontae Johnson had 2087 yards and 15 TD's across the two seasons before Pickett arrived, Pat Freiermuth had 7 TD's his rookie year with the ghost of Roethlisberger's arm, he's had 4 the last 2 seasons combined.

His supporting cast was fine.

Jesus some of you will go to bat for this guy more than some of our own. Kenny Pickett being a decent QB is not a hill to die on.

Kenny Pickett is a first rounder. He is here to replace what's his name.

Kenny Pickett appears to be trash. But one teams trash is another teams...ummm.... uhhhh... trash.

There is/was an Eagles jersey website where you can enter the number and name and it shows an image of the jersey. Make your own jersey thing.

Anyway, here is my 'artwork" from before Pickett was drafted. Fanboy porn.

Don't know what number Pickett will wear, but here you go. Maybe this is why we need to trade Reddick.

Let me go on record by stating, all things considered, this was the worst move this offseason.

Please explain. Educate me. How is this the worst move? It could be the worst. There are only so many moves that have been made.

I like Pickett. Check out his stats for his last year in college. I think he still has potential.

In college, it took him a few years to get going, but then he played lights out. maybe he still develops as a pro.

In addition to the pick swap the Eagles gave up two seventh round picks.  For the people who think that is nothing, the Eagles starting LT, the guy who just signed a huge extension, was a seventh round pick.  As were two guys that just played in the Super Bowl (Purdy, Pachecho).    The Eagles gave up too much for a Steelers flop.

^^^^

Fair point.

And, the 49ers have a pretty decent QB..................who was a 7th round pick. Granted, he plays with an All World TE, WRs, RB, and a damn good O-Line.

Fact: the eagles value and consistently invest more in the backup qb position than most other franchises.

It is what it is.  I don’t care for it.

You may or may not like Kenny Pickett, but they are going to consistently invest more in getting their backup qb of choice.

The Pickett move was a solid move and now with him getting real coaching with an OC and QB coach his play I have all the confidence in him should we need him.

It must be great to cherry pick a couple 7th rounders that have become something in this league, surprised Brady wasn't thrown in but he was a 6th.

He played in Pittsburgh with an OC that will NEVER have that position in the NFL again he was so bad..Press Taylor on steroids.

As it stands now, Pickett was a poor QB in Pittsburgh. Can he turn it around with the Eagles? We're going to find out.

Hopefully, Pickett gets a lot of clipboard holding reps this year.

Other than a blowout where Hurts take the 4th quarter off, if Pickett sees the field, something has gone sideways.

The more I think about this, the weirder it seems. I can't put my finger on it, but, it just seems like a weird trade.

How is it weird?

Howie had an eye on Pickett in college. The organization got scared of what Jalen showed last year and how he broke down.

By mid season Pickett will be our new starting quarterback and Jalen Hurts will be trade it for 9 first round picks.

BOOM

It’s weird to criticize the Eagles for being a team that tends to spend more on backup quarterbacks than other teams usually do when it was a backup quarterback who led us to our only Super Bowl victory.

Btw just saw an interesting stat. Of all NFL QBs Hurts threw the second least amount of passes over the middle of the field last year (37%)

Guess who was dead last?

Couldn't you just tell us who was last? You were just looking at the stats bro.

Was it Kenny Pickett?
