Posted March 21, 20241 yr The Eagles have 77 players under contract. As of now they have 8 draft picks. that would leave room for 5 undrafted free agents which is far below their norm. Overthecap.com shows them still with $34M - BUT the contracts of CGJ, Baun, White, Burks, Mustipher, Lovato, and Hall are bit included. Figure half of the available - $17M. They still have needs for the following - A starting slot receiver. Hunter Renfrom or a draft pick. A starting outside corner. Probably a draft pick in the 1st or 2nd but JC Jackson, Eli Appklem and Aoree Jackson are all available A starting quality young LB. I hope it's a day 2 pick but sighing 3 in FA doesn't seem like its in the cards. TE depth. Almost certainly a 3rd day draft pick RB Depth. Need 2, probably 1 FA and 1 draft pick S depth. Only 4 on the roster. 3rd day pick OL depth. History says it could be a high draft pick. Would they go high and tell us Steen isn't the guy? My guess it'll be mid-round draft

Probably a draft pick in the 1st or 2nd but JC Jackson, Eli Appklem and Aoree Jackson are all available. THE TEAM ALREADY HAS THREE STARTING CB'S IN SLAY, BRADBERRY AND RINGO, AND DON'T SLEEP ON ISIAH RODGERS A starting quality young LB. I hope it's a day 2 pick but sighing 3 in FA doesn't seem like its in the cards. NAKOBE DEAN TE depth. Almost certainly a 3rd day draft pick. THERE ARE TWO OTHER TE'S ON THE ROSTER BESIDES GOEDDERT - GRANT CALCATERRRA AND ALBERT OKWUEGBUNAM RB Depth. Need 2, probably 1 FA and 1 draft pick - A NEED, BUT BOSTON SCOTT MAY RETURN S depth. Only 4 on the roster. 3rd day pick - COULD USE ANOTHER QUALITY STARTER OL depth. History says it could be a high draft pick. Would they go high and tell us Steen isn't the guy? My guess it'll be mid-round draft - I COULD EASILY SEE THE EAGLES DRAFT AN OFFENSIVE LINEMAN WITH THEIR FIRST ROUND PICK

Bradberry? You can't be serious. Ringo is a possibility, but do you think he's ready for prime time. Rogers is too small for my taste and should be battling for the slot role. 1 hour ago, Procus said: THERE ARE TWO OTHER TE'S ON THE ROSTER BESIDES GOEDDERT - GRANT CALCATERRRA AND ALBERT OKWUEGBUNAM Would yo ugo to war with Calcaterra or Albert O? Not me! 1 hour ago, Procus said: COULD USE ANOTHER QUALITY STARTER Agreed but I think they'll go with CGJ and Blankenship. Problem is, Brown is recovering from an ACL and McCollum is a huge queston mark? 1 hour ago, Procus said: COULD EASILY SEE THE EAGLES DRAFT AN OFFENSIVE LINEMAN WITH THEIR FIRST ROUND PICK I agree, but I would be very disappointed if they do it this year. Thanks for the feedback.

Blankenship is a huge upgrade over Epps. I'm not sure why people feel we still need someone like Simmons. I was very pleased with the way McCollum played when he did get snaps. I'm not ready to talk about him being a future starter, but as depth, he played very well when called. I don't see that as a huge question mark --- just a good sign.

Brkmsn - yes to the first part of your thought. Here's what I think the answer is to the second part. I think folks worry about Blankenships range. He'very good coming forward or in the short zone, but has questionable skills when it comes to covering the deep throw. No question, we could go to was with him, but an upgrade is always a good thing.
