I see a lot of vessels traveling up the Bay and into the Elk River where I am and then thru the C&D canal out to the Delaware Bay.  I took this shot of a ship before leaving one day and by the time I got up to Chesapeake City it was already past that bridge, and it looked so huge in that waterway.  The Army Corp of engineers are always dredging every year as well.   

The wife and I took a little three day getaway to the Bay Area back in 2021 that included a boat tour that took us into the C&D for a little. Really nice scenery and some cool history.

DEI has become a right-wing favorite.  The implication that somehow a black person got a job they’re not qualified to have.  Forget the part where the position of mayor is a politically-elected office and Baltimore is mostly black…

It’s not an "implication.” That is literally the effect of DEI. When you create quotes based on race, sex, religion, or whatever, that is going to be the outcome.

But you do understand that politicians aren’t aided by DEI, right?   Voters go to the polls and the person with the most votes wins.  Unless you’re implying that the mayor of Baltimore rigged the election.

It's funny to hear the same folks participating in white flight, fleeing to the suburbs and exurbs, complain how the city is on a downward spiral. Either be part of the solution or GTFO the way. They chose GTFO. So let the city residents remaining be the solution. You don't get to choose the city government after you move out. Yes, Baltimore has its problems like any other large city. Mayor Scott is doing a fine job. Crime in Baltimore is actually on the decrease following national trends. His proposals seem to be working.
