Posted April 16, 20241 yr What are your thoughts on Justin Jefferson? The potentially poor QB play in Minnesota, has me ranking him much lower this year. It's a small sample size, but his numbers without Cousins at QB are bad. I currently have him at WR5, but even that may be too high. He might finish outside the top ten.

Yeah it's a tough call to make. However the talent is too good to ignore, I think a top 10 finish is not unreasonable given how many targets he'll receive with Jordan Addison's off the field issues and TJ Hockenson coming off major injury. I have him at WR6 right after AJ Brown in PPR, someone I'd consider at the tail end of Rnd 1 if the other top 5 WR and the elite RBs are off the board (McCaffrey, Hall, Robinson)
August 7, 2024Aug 7 While Darnold isn't a good QB, and he looks like he will be the starter, he has been able to feed some WR's for decent numbers when he has started. Crowder and Anderson both had around 800 yards and 5 TD's in 2019, while his first season with the Panthers Moore was able to have 93 receptions, 1100 yards and 4 TD's. Jefferson will probably see some good yardage totals and receptions, but his TD's will take the biggest hit. If he has 80 receptions, 1200 yards and 5 or 6 TD's he is in the Nico Collins territory from last year.
August 14, 2024Aug 14 He is tough to rate. Somebody is drafting him in Round 1 for sure. The talent is too good. He produced when Mullens was starting QB at the end of the season. Darnold is an upgrade. I am not picking Jefferson before Hill or Lamb. But St. Brown? Nukua? AJ Brown? Ja'Marr Chase? I might.
August 14, 2024Aug 14 If you have a late 1st rounder / early 2nd, and double him up with one of the other WR's, it could be worth it.
August 19, 2024Aug 19 Author I have the #4 pick. I don't think Im taking him there. A lot of the mocks I am doing have Lamb or Hill still there at 4. Even if they aren't I'd rather go chase of St. Brown. St. Brown has such a high floor. He only had one game last year that was not in the double digits. My team was stacked last year but I had so many guys that were boom or bust. I'd like having some consistency this year.
August 21, 2024Aug 21 I took Jefferson with #5 pick and I am happy with it. The first 4 picks were CMC, Hill, Lamb, St. Brown... I faded Chase because of the contract situation. He might sit out.

At this point I'd go JJ over Chase for the same reason.

Chase is practicing again. But he didn't play in any preseason games. He may have used the contract dispute to sit out preseason. Still Jefferson has shown he can produce no matter who is at QB.
August 30, 2024Aug 30 Author He fell all the way to the middle of the second round in my draft. I took him after taking Lamb in the first. Feeling good about my squad.
September 9, 2024Sep 9 Author Looking solid after week 1. Yahoo can eat it. They gave me. D- on my draft and picked me to finish second to last. I hit on all my RB picks (Mixon, Kamera, and Achain). Outscored everyone in my league this week.
