underwhelming is an understatement, lol. he was flat out terrible. maybe you guys will get something out of him, but i think it's unlikely. seems like he just can't play football at this level.

Don't worry they also said, we "stole" Kevin Byard / Rashad Penny not playing was the reason for the collapse.

Who's "they?" I never saw anyone say either of those things.

For starters, you.

Byard:

You're looking for something that isn't there and trying to search keywords, use them out of context and try and make it fit your argument. In your mind, if a comment isn't negative it must be an exaggerated strawman. Nowhere did I say the Byard trade was a "steal" (I said he's a solid player) and no one blamed the late season collapse on not playing Penny. Some of your quotes about Penny are from before the season began and wondering how they might utilize the RB rotation. How would comments before the season began have anything to do with the end of the season collapse?

And ...  FWIW ... Byard was solid. He just wasn't a difference maker for us. He was better than Edmunds, but the defense needed everybody else to play better too.

Why am I getting notifications in this thread when I've never posted in it?

So I just worked out it's some clown quoting a post from September about Penny to prove a point and still be completely wrong

The one he cherry picked is from week 4

And we worked out why Penny wasn't seeing the field when he came in DURING the collapse. He was a liability in pass coverage for a team that likes to throw the ball. He is decent when healthy running the ball but he wasn't seeing the field due to his inferior skills in the passing game to Gainwell.

Thinking he has a big game.  Probably wants to come back next year so time to seal the deal and get a ring too.  Guy must be dreaming.

I’m happy for Becton, it amazes me how good of an organization the Eagles are, you constantly hear it from players how they love it here. Kudos to Jeff, Howie, the whole coaching staff and the players themselves for creating such an environment.

This guy is my biggest concern for the SB, because he's had some god awful pass protection snaps in the last few games and now he's going up against Chris Jones. In pass protection he is the clear weak link in the O line.

It's more of an inconsistency, because he's also had some very good pass block reps. We can afford to take a few sacks as long as Hurts holds on to the ball. Fortunately, the guys coming right up the middle won't come in unnoticed.

I have to disagree. He's allowed no sacks in the post-season and three for the year per PFF. Dickerson allowed five, Jurgens four, and Fred Johnson eight in limited play. I can recall a couple of breakdowns in communication between Jurgens and Becton but it is hard to lay blame for either one.
