Siri has to coach the most overrated player in the NFL in QB1

we'll be back to square 1 with the painful HC search because nobody who wants any say will get an opportunity here.

That's why I'd be pretty skeptical about Bill Belichick. Everything I've heard is that things are done Belichick's way end of story. I'm not sure how that would fit with Jeffrey & Howie's M. O.

Being incentivized to do worse doesn't make sense to me, so I cannot understand this perspective from a place of logic

Brian Johnson paid the price. Sean Desai and Matt Patricia paid the price. And yet Sirianni who oversees everything as HC didn’t? So if the offense and defense isn’t him then what does he do? Build a culture? Well that went to ish last year so he didn’t do that very well either.

I don’t want to go as far to say we were successful in spite of Sirianni because that is too far. But I don’t think he was a major reason for our relative success.

Just about every coach is on the hot seat every season.

It's not completely Moore's offense. Nick even said it's going to be a collaboration

The guy is an idiot who knows nothing about defense and what is thinks he knows about offense is all wrong.

The front office fired the DC mid season, not Nick.  He is their complete puppet so they brought him back one more year.

I would be surprised if he lasted much longer than this season.  He doesn't have any football knowledge.

Just shows how valuable it is in bureaucracy to kiss the right ass to get ahead.  If Nick can become a head coach, anyone can

be successful in life if they play the political game right

I think Sirianni's biggest flaw is that he didn't put the team first last year.   He knew Brian Johnson was a disaster but let it go on week after week.  Players were obviously frustrated by the idiotic play calling and the complete lack of creativity.  Defensively, it wasn't much different...replacing Desai with Patricia was simply a boneheaded move and the players ended up losing all confidence in the coaching and the schemes.....

I don't like changing coaches every 3-4 years, but what Sirianni did last year was atrocious.  Hopefully, Moore and Fangio can turn things around.

And that begs the question - suppose Moore gets it turned around in a good way this season and he becomes a hot head coaching commodity.  Do you let him walk?

Either Sirianni was the problem last year, or he wasn't the problem and he couldn't/didn't do anything to fix it.  Not a good look either way.

Fixable.  Plenty of ways to 'promote' someone to a new role so Kellen can be the guy.  Siri seems to get along well with the guys upstairs too.

Answer is no, if Moore revives this offense you can’t let him walk in favour of the head cheerleader playing the character of Head Coach.

And that is the crux of the problem for Siri.

Too many teams have had revolving door coaches (and quarterbacks). Maybe they should stick it out. If he doesn't improve, give him a year off, then bring him back. I know crazy thought.

They should have forced Reid to take a sabbatical for a year to chill and reinvent himself

Maybe that’s true, but what is his record with any quarterback not named Hurts? For every playoff appearance that Sirianni has Hurts is the one that got him there.

What is wrong with people? Are we really mad at Hurts, because he didn’t gush praise over a head coach that was so bad at his job they had to revamp his coaching staff and basically emasculated him of his duties? Do we really need to marvel at how well Sirianni is handling being a puppet?

No you hire Moore to be the head coach

You got it right.  We were successful in spite of Nick.  He is clueless

OBJ is the most overrated player in the NFL and it's not even close.

I hope for everyone’s sake that was just Sirianni trying to save face. I hope that isn’t actually true.

Sirianni agreed to get new offensive and defensive coordinators that he likely didn’t even choose. The quarterback said 95% of this offense is new. What’s the 5% left the tush push? At this point I don’t see how this all just works nor do I see the relevance of this head coach. Is he here to trash talk other fanbases while talking about Mamba mentality? When the going gets tough who do the Eagles players go to? Will it be Moore or Sirianni?

He’s trying to save face. He has little to no say in an offense that is 95% new and different from what was the past.

If it’s 95% new then that’s music to my ears and I’m sure most feel the same. Of course there’s no need to throw it all out but major change was needed. It is going to be really interesting to see how this all plays out.

I don’t know if I am as ecstatic as everyone else is with the changes. Here we have a quarterback who is now on his 5th OC in six seasons of football. Now things are so different and he’s expected to pick it all up in one off-season? On top of this how well will the emotionally challenged HC take being marginalized by the owner and GM this season? Will he pout or overcompensate with more flower type messages? Also how will the team respond to this guy now that they all basically see that he is a glorified placeholder? When things go bad can he bring this group back or will we just see more sideline turmoil and yet another ridiculous slide? To me this all reminds me of that off-season when they forced Doug to hire all of those outside coaches and voices and ultimately that turned to crap. I don’t have high expectations for this coming season. There’s a lot of change and I don’t see how it all comes together just in one season.
