After the season at this point but I think it's in play if they lose to the Giants.

Only way he saves his job is if the Eagles make the playoffs and somehow are a deep playoff run.  Otherwise it's clear he will be gone.

Siri said he doesn't like when the fans boo and it's not productive. You want to talk about productive, talk about the performance on the field.

They went off on Siri

Not soon enough. Screaming at the fans after a "win" is hopefully a sign that it will be sooner rather than later.

That win yesterday might be the last one of the year. Cleveland is the worst team in football and we barely beat them.

He's a fiery one! Guess we don't like that anymore.

You have to back up the fire with competence.  The fans' wrath is directed at the poor product on the field from this very talented team.

It might well be yeah… but with the talent we have I still think they’ll win 8/9 games this year. But I’m not confident on that.

Fire the coach it’s quite simple. He’s not cut out for this.

He definitely needs to back this up. Generally, though, I believe that what's good for the goose is good for the gander: Fans can boo a $hitty product, and Sirianni can give it back to them a little bit when they pull out the win. Maybe the fans shouldn't be so sentisitve.

Have you checked out the ticket prices for an Eagles game?  I didn't see any disclaimers telling the fans they can't boo or call for the coaches' head.  This comes with the territory in Philly, and mark my words, is not sitting well with Lurie.

I can’t imagine anything Nick is doing right now is sitting well with Lurie. His answers in press conferences feel like they’ve gone to the crap he used to come out with! And the bring your kids to a PC thing has lost any charm it ever had.

I'm not a fan of firing a coach (who has a winning record) after so few seasons. That's not to say that he should or shouldn't be, but I've always been in favor of letting a coach try to work it out.

Go back in time (a long way) to the Cowboys. Had Tom Landry been the coach of the Cowboys in 2020 instead of 1960, he'd have been fired before having his first winning season. It took him 7 seasons to finally get a winning record for a season and his Cowboys career worked out pretty well for them.

I don't want 6 losing seasons, of course. But if Lurie sees fit to keep him on to let him try to work it out, I won't be pissed either.

I get your point and I think in most cases you are absolutely right. But on this occasion I think absolutely not. He’s had time to correct this and nothing is changing. It’s not changing because he can’t change it because he isn’t good enough. There’s nothing remotely special about him.

When will they fire this clown?  Barring a massive meltdown, probably not until the season is over.

When do I want them to fire this clown?  Yesterday.

Yes, I have. In fact, I actually wanted to go this past weekend with my friend, who's a Browns' fan, but it was too high for me. Mostly, the tickets that are available to the general public are re-sales, and they are as expensive as they are because people are willing to pay that much to go to an Eagles game. If it had been about $25-$50 less, I'd have been a buyer. And if I had gone, I'd have been disappointed with a loss but understood that it was well within the realm of possibility that they'd lose. You know what you're getting with this team right now. If it's too expensive to stomach a loss, don't go.

It's not about the fans being sensitive. It's about the head coach acting like a horse's arse. He's been like this since day 1. I'd be ok with his acting like a unprofessional arse hat if he was a good coach...he isn't. This team is never prepared. Last year his entire offense was 5 plays. He might be the worst coach we've ever had. Yes I am including Kotite and Kelly in that mix.

I think if they fired him today there is a slim chance they could save the season. With him, there is no chance.

I have no problem firing this horses arse of a HC. They fired Chip for not having Emotional Intelligence, so precedence is there to can a HC for being a duuush.

Who is his replacement? The DC and the OC are the obvious candidates. BUT, would they resent each other, or Management, if one gets the job over the other? 🧐

I wouldn't want to see him fired before the end of the season. Let him work things out as best as he can for 2024 and see how things turn out. If he goes deep into the playoffs or wins the Super Bowl, obviously keep him. I just hate starting over so often. I like stability, provided it's winning stability and not losing stability.

I'm always a little too patient though, with the exception of Chip Kelly. I was more than ready to be rid of him.

Do any other coaches bring their kids to the pressers? It’s unprofessional and was 100% done to deflect any negativity.

do any other coaches react to the fans like that either?

Not cool to bring the kids.  Siri seems to want out given his odd behavior.

You obviously weren't around for Jerry Williams or Eddie Khyat at the beginning of the SB era, or Joe (must go) Kuharich in the '60's, or Bert Bell during the first decade of the franchise.  But since the turn of the century, I'd have to agree with the post.

My guess is that the apology today was directed by the front office - a front office that is conducting its due diligence on a coaching search now.  I hope they have somebody that the team is keyed on early this time around.

This is the same team as last year. Different coordinators but the same stench. Even last year during the skid we had a very sloppy win over the Giants. No way Siri survives this unless they  make a deep playoff run and that ain't happenning.
