Would be challenging if healthy because that defense provides a much better floor. The defense giving up 25ppg last year meant the offense had to be amazing and it had to be amazing from Jalen Hurts.

This year, Saquon can carry and the defense is allowing way way less.

I recently started watching Eagles Unscripted in YouTube. Is this a new thing this season? It's like a mini Hard Knocks.

Anyway, my point... I just started watching episode five. The first minute and hald is largely Sieianni laying down to the squad their expected roles for the coming season. Now, I work in comms and have for years. I tell you this now... in my professional opinion, Nick Sirianni is one of the best speakers I have ever seen. He's top tier. No jokes. Check for yourself, and if you don't agree I would love to know why.

I've worked for large companies that spend millions of dollars trying to identify and cultivate leaders.  They are harder to find than top sales people, or savvy bond traders, or innovative offensive coordinators.

Watch Unscripted and other content on PE.com.  You see Sirianni talking about things like 'toughness', 'details', 'connecting', etc.  Then listen to the players talk after games.  They are using the same words.  His message is resonating with the team because they are buying in.  

Absolutely. In my view, they key reason is his sincerity. There can be no doubt that he believes what he is saying, and so others believe it too. And he does mean it, and he is sincere. When someone you trust believes in you, it is tranformational. I speak that from experience. Sirianni gets it.

You are clearly a big fan. Would you admit that he’s benefited from having a GM that brought in a core of players on defense that are instilled with a work ethic that was highlighted in the video link you shared? 

Unless he wins a SB I'd hire Johnson over Nick in the offseason. Seems like a brilliant young mind.

For all this talk about how great this coach is and so little respect Jalen gets will this wake up some of y’all yet? Jalen spotted this guy two scored before he went down basically and he lost. All of those wins people fawn over happen when Jalen’s under center. Winning matters and for the Eagles the winning happens when QB1 in in the game.

Id reckon about the same as most coaches without their franchise QB. Sure there are some outliers but, not everyone gets a Nick Foles performance from their back ups. The rare coaches can pull it off like Reid .

Yes and they also had some of the greatest defenses in league history again i said outliers. It can happen but its not the norm.

There’s many instances where backups came in and won games in stretches for teams. Tom Brady did it. Remember when Reid went like 4-1 with AJ Feely and Detmer? Foles cam in and took over for Vick. Heck Vick came in and took over for Kolb. The Eagles have a lot of instances of backups coming in to win games even in long stretches.
