Not letting Saquon Barkley going for the rushing record should be a fireable offense for Sirianni especially if they don't win Super Bowl because this is stupid.

I'm guessing you've been fired ... a lot.

I have a hard time believing he’s been hired…a lot.

Can you imagine how this guy treats service and retail workers?

You and anyone else are idiots if you think this was Sirianni's decision alone.

He wanted him benched on at least 2 separate occasions this year and now he wants to play him

If we get bounced in the wildcard round, you have to consider it. Though I'm certain this season's excuse will be Jalen Hurts coming off the concussion as to why we lost.

I still feel like our team is so talented that we continue to win in spite of Siri, not because of him.

What happens if the Eagles disappoint in the post-season and Shane Steichen is fired by the Colts?

People are STILL suggesting that we should get rid of Sirianni?

I see the cognitive dissonance is as strong in sports as it is in <things that would get me warned in this forum, you can use your imagination>. Our coach doesn't have to be a Saint. He needs to win, and that's exactly what he's doing.

We've won 1 SB in the history of the franchise too, that can't be the standard just to keep his job, because everyone else failed it except Doug.

At this point, his job looks secure.

Yeah I just don’t get the Siriani hate. End of last year was a disaster, but apart from that his record is incredible

Yes it’s a talented team, but there are a lot of talented teams who do nothing.

This idea that he has to get to/win the Super Bowl from here is nonsense (I obviously hope we do)

Combo of the nose dive from last year and some questionable strategic decisions early in the year that cost them the Atlanta game

I definitely hold him to a degree responsible for the nose dive (albeit Super Bowl loss hangover is real for most teams outside of Pats with Brady and Chiefs with Mahomes)

But he took far too much abuse for the Atlanta game. Barkley dropped an easy ball to seal it when wide open. Even when he did the D still should have stopped them. It wasn't a bad call, it just went wrong. People still go on about the amazing Philly special, but that was far more likely to go wrong (ie if anyone decides to cover Foles and/or Burton's throw isn't great/Foles drops it)

AFTER THE EAGLES BLOW THE WILD CARD ROUND ROUND AND NO GUTS SIRRIANNI DECIDED TO NOT LET SAQUON AND THE OLINE GET THE RUSHING RECORD!

Little bit of context might be useful.

This year, Washington reached 11 wins in a season for the first time in 33 years (1991).

Nick Sirianni has reached 11 wins minimum in three of his four seasons as a head coach.

Timmy Smith holds the Super Bowl rushing record with 204 yards. Let's go after that one.

I’ve never seen fans so eager to fire a coach who has done nothing but win for four years.

OMG. Fire Sirianni now!! Before he messes up the playoff run.

I made a point of this like 3 months ago, Eagles would be better of getting rid of Sirianni and make Kellen Moore the HC.

If Eagles get knocked out of the playoffs, Kellen Moore will become the new HC. You cannot have a revolving door of different offensive coordinators, it is not good for your QB, with Kellen being the HC the offensive principles will remain the similar with a new OC regardless.

What does Sirianni offer the side anyway other than his animated OCD tantrums...

Must have not heard that bit about Lurie even being consulted. If he was, then Howie was too.

Tell me that you don't watch football without telling me you don't watch football. A lot of teams deal with this in some fashion or another. We're just not used to dealing with it because the majority of our time throughout the 2000's has been built on the idea of having a 'head coach' of the <opposite side of the ball that our head coach presides on> to mitigate this.

What does Dan Campbell offer the Lions? Oh wait, just like Sirianni you have no idea, because it happens during the 6 days of the week you don't get to watch the team. Shame.

Since he does nothing too, the Lions should fire him.

News flash, running an NFL franchise is about a lot more than X's and O's.

Under other Eagles head coaches, including Chip, people looked for reasons to like them. With Sirianni, they look for every reason to dislike him instead. Make it make sense.

I think it's an IQ and EQ problem at this point. I think the Eagles fanbase is honestly just too emotionally driven to overcome their personal gripes with the guy and so they're consistently ignoring any evidence that goes against their beliefs. Common problem in America these days honestly on a variety of subjects, most of which I'm not getting into here.

You know, I didn't even think of this. This may have been a Lurie decision.

He clearly has an impact on the players, and they like playing for him. Just because a coach doesn’t call the plays on either side of the ball doesn’t mean he isn’t a good head coach.

He may have had some impact, that's what coaches do, they have impacts on players that are around them..

But

He is too much of a child, the management knows it, that's why they made him a CEO coach, whatever the heck that means with no authority or say.

Well he’s certainly created a better culture than down in Miami! Where Hill said after the game yesterday that he’s out.

I feel like if Sirianni wins the SB, he'll become the most loved coach ever. I can see (and hope) he follows Kelce's steps. Going from being wanted out of the city to being venerated everywhere in Philly.

Do have to admit that I like the approach with this game.  The Eagles never gifted any of that lead they had back to the Packers.  They were misers in a mean, bone crunching game where they were the home team and had the advantage.  It was like watching a battle out there today - a battle that the Eagles were winning from start to finish.  Solid execution and plan.
