The REAL question should be, when will Patullo be fired. But we all know Sirianni isn't going to fire the guy mid season. IF it happens that will be at the end of the season. And honestly, even if Siri did fire him now, who runs the offense for the remainder of the season?? We're pretty much stuck with what we have until January. Hopefully Siri learned finally learned the lesson he should have after firing Johnson after the 2023 season ... that he absolutely needs a strong, experienced offensive mind to run the offense. No more internal promotions of coaches that have zero experience running an offense.

Siri is never getting fired, we have cornered the market on toxic fans.

Honestly, I think Jalen's skillset is just hard to work with. The truth of the matter is he is a guy who wants NCAA open windows to throw to in the NFL, and those kinds of windows aren't exactly common. I think it requires a strong offensive mind to get the best out of him, average isn't good enough. But unfortunately, all of those guys are hired quickly unless they're old, in which none of them have been old since we've been chasing the young hires train.

I think the offense would probably look better if it was a person more comfortable with traditional type passing. But the reason people get hired from here so often, I think, is because NFL guys know about Jalen's limitations, and someone who can work with him very well proves their flexibility as an offensive mind, which becomes highly coveted.

Remember when Foles took over for Wentz and really struggled in the regular season. The coaching staff went back to the drawing board and looked back on previous seasons to see what plays worked for Foles and incorporated them in the offense. That’s exactly what this staff needs to do. See what plays worked from last year and previous years and use them. They’re barely running the RPO. They’re running a lot less plays by running the play clock down. They put no pressure on the defense. The offense is very different.

I 99% agree with this. Only reason it's not 100% is because Hurts DOES throw to Brown (and Smith at times) when they are tightly covered. But in general, yeah, he seems like he needs to have a receiver wide open and just doesn't see the field well.

Since Sirianni has been the HC, I have struggled with figuring out why our offense just seems so basic. We've been to 2 Super Bowls, but it sure seems that it they did so because their talent was just "that good". In essence, the offensive design is about "we're better than you" and just expecting that each player wins his matchup because of that. There's never any "scheme". So, is that because Siri can't design an offense? Or is it because of Hurts' limitations?

It's also considerably less talented in the trenches. Becton gone, Dickerson down, Jurgens and Johnson hurting. Plus, Johnny Wilson out for the year. Completely differently OL this year - for the worse. Not to mention the dogshit OC we have now who is just mucking things up and making them worse.

I'm not even going to get into the dropoff on talent on the DL and secondary, which also is dealing with its share of injuries.

Not disagreeing with your premise, it's just this Eagles roster that's currently on the field is a shadow of what we saw last year.

But they can score, for only a half but they’ve shown that it can be done. Just not sure why they can’t put together 2 good halves.

This would be the kiss of death for Siri if he can't plug the leak in the ship.

I feel like such crap and I live in the NY market so I'm going to hear the Giants, Dart, Skataboo hype nonstop. Awful. If we lose next week there is no doubt in my mind this season will get out of control and we will finish with a pathetic record like 6-11.
