Like the whole military costs half as much as the healthcare in the US. And that’s not just procurement of MIC equipment. That’s for the whole military. Paying soldiers, repainting things, food, ammo, planes, ships, new tires for vehicles, pens. The whole thing. Oh, and by the way, when I say the military, I mean every military in the whole world. The whole world spends half as much money on the military than the US spends in healthcare. Oh, and big pharma? Yeah hospitals make almost three times big pharma revenue. Let me tell you what happens when young and talented software engineers are overpaid right out of college (or even high school). They start thinking they know how to do everybody else's job better than they do. I've seen it. Hell I leaned into it when I was young and overpaid, but had some humility and wisdom to grow out of it. Elon never did. Trump has narcissistic personality disorder. The thing about being a rube like you is that you never think you're the rube. That's what makes you a perfect rube.
