Not a large uproar, but the usual suspects aren't happy about it. Its like these people hate their own party more than trump

Well this turned out to not be true at all so....

A lot of voters (especially older ones) won't necessarily agree but let's see how he is able to frame it tomorrow.

I disagree.

He was all set to totally wipe the floor with Trump.

I love Biden but he has a serious medical condition. If old people are ok with having a president who can't think clearly, that's their business. I got pretty sick of people telling me I didn't see what I saw on debate night.

Was Harris on any primary ballot?  The answer is no.  There is the rub. No one explicitly voted for Harris and the Republicans if smart will use this against the "vote Harris to save democracy" talking point.

"Saving democracy" isn't about having political parties employ a primary system everyone likes. It's simply about having a president leave when their term is up, and the peaceful tranfer of power. Only a Trumptard deep in the cult thinks Trump is simply going to leave office in 4 years when his term is up.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying that we still need their votes. We've always needed them, which is why this whole thing was so precarious.

The only people that the Dems need to worry about losing based on the change is a portion of the elderly vote.  Thankfully, the guy Harris is running against has a plan that eliminates Social Security and Medicare.

Old people understand the situation of decline in others more than anyone. What they don’t like is when someone is assumed to be mentally incapable just because they are old. Of course an individual doesn’t accept their own decline very well.

I had no problem with Biden's age. I had a problem with his inability to answer a simple question or even to remember what he was talking about less than a second ago.

A number is just a number, but when a human starts walking in little steps without swinging there arms...well...it's pretty much over.

Exactly and the older Dems will feel the same. Nothing has been lost there with the change.

AOC was wrong on that one.  So was I, never thought the half dozen Democrat tribes would come together like this both at the top and at the grassroots. Even as a fan of Harris, hadn't seen anything in a while to suggest she could pull off such a successful ramp up and get everyone on board with a single meet up. The girl was way more prepared than we knew or maybe than she let on.  Having much, much better handlers than she had for her primary run is prolly the big difference.

You’re going downhill fast fwiw

Watching Harris right now, girl looking ready to go.

I think she also grew into the job. She looks much more seasoned to me.

Perhaps fox smells his own hole

Difference is that Megan Kelly isn't running for president

I'm going to go out on a limb and state that I don't think Kamala Harris is a good candidate, and I think she'd be a lousy president.
