How can you back out of a debate that you never agreed to?  Why is Kamala afraid to debate him on Fox?

Why hasn't Kamala had a press conference since she's been declared the nominee?

Why are you impersonating me?

Honestly they should do both.

If the POTUS or potential POTUS had any truly radical effect on the stock market, which they absolutely don't, Trump saying we're gonna pay the nat'l debt with a bitcoin should have been the alarm bell for any rational investor. But of course it's got nothing to do with that, it's about overheated tech stocks.

really?  Because I seem to recall reading posts in CVON praising Biden and giving him credit for rising stock prices not so long ago.  So I guess you are saying that those who were doing so were wrong.

I have been very, very consistent since I got here back in like '06.  I give the POTUS very little credit/blame for the economy. And the few times I do give it, it's usually something the predecessor did that the next guy got left holding. You guys wanna chase your tails claiming otherwise, you be you.

The way I see it Trump has a point, Biden was the incumbent who beat him last time so Joe got to say where and when.  Kamala is not the incumbent, didn't even "win her primary", so at this point its even steven and its whoever is winning should pick the time and place because the underdog is the one that needs it more.  Right now both camps have every right to hawk at each other and act like they are in control, but in fact they are both just waiting it out to see who is winning come Labor Day.

I guarantee if one of them has pulled ahead definitively come Labor Day, the other will cave and debate at the favorite's place.  If it's tight like it is right now in either direction, I believe they will end up doing a home and home.  They both want to debate, no way we don't get at least one.

The debate that Trump and Biden agreed to said it would include any candidate polling above 15%. It never mentioned Trump and Biden and was never limited to them. This was primarily to accommodate RFK Jr. if he reached that level. Trump has now backed out of that agreement. The idea that Fox News, an organization that had to pay almost $800 million in a settlement for lying about the 2020 election, could honestly host a debate is ridiculous. Trump should be openly mocked and called a wimp for backing out of the debate he agreed to. The idea of Biden being replaced was openly on the table when the ABC debate was set up -- if Trump wanted it to only apply to Biden, he could have insisted on that. He didn't.

God that's a scary thought

In all of this craziness I swear his craziness is taking a back seat lol

I disagree that they both want to debate.  If they're close, I doubt either one happens.  Kamala has no reason to switch from what Trump already agreed to and step into a debate moderated by Hannity or some other suckup nutcase and Trump's scared sheetless and holding out hope he won't have to stand on stage with anyone that's not a withered Biden.

My guess is Trump does an interview with Fox on 9/4, and Kamala does an interview with ABC on 9/10.

I'm just amused by the trumbpot fantasy where CNN (repeatedly referred to as the Clinton News Network in 2016) is somehow less biased than ABC.

You are attempting to apply logic to Trump supporters.

Don't do that.

I get all that but Trump is right to play hard ball here.  He already won a debate, knocked his opponent out of the race without even landing a punch you could say. Unless he is losing in the polls he angle for a better turf.

SPOILER ALERT: he is starting to trail in the polls and Harris has the momentum with the DNC still to go. He needs the debate more than her at this point.

He already is, and trending worse, not better.

The most hysterical outcome would be, if Harris can keep the momentum and rising in the polls through the DNC, Trump may have no choice other than backing down and going to the 9/10 debate on ABC. He would look like a complete imbecile (which he is) and basically have lost the debate before it started.

This is why I think there is no chance of a debate happening. Whichever candidate caves will take a serious hit.

They'll never do it, but if I were the Harris campaign, I'd respond by calling Trump's bluff as follows:

"Donald, since you keep saying I am a low IQ individual, and that you are a stable genius, let's have the two of us take an IQ test live on the air at the same time. You say you are free on September 4th, so let's do it then and it can even be broadcast on Fox News. We'll have a proctor and have the tests graded right then and there. Unless you really don't think you are a genius..."

Well I think they go home and home.  neither loses face. I believe they both want to debate and so it will happen.  Harris because she knows she's the favorite in that matchup, Trump because he can't resist the theater.

I expect trump to wait til Labor Day, if he can keep it within a couple points he will continue to threaten to sit on his 1 debate victory.

When you put it that way 😆

Market corrected back in late 2018 too. I'm sure Procus and co were right there holding Trump accountable for that.

If I get time I'll start digging. I'd be interested to see what flag you were flying at the time....

It would be great to but his idiots would still vote for him and somehow call the whole thing "rigged"

Does it have to just be an IQ test. Can we add in a cognative ability test as well for some great TV?

Person. Man. Woman. Camera. TV.
