Terrell Davis in 1998 logged 2476 rushing yards and is recognized as the most rushing in a single season that includes the playoffs. Saquon would need 471 yards this postseason to best that. It would be cool if he can accomplish that but no one really talks about that ... it is the single regular season record that stands as the holy grail of rushing records. Such a shame to be this close and not be allowed to pursue it.
January 4Jan 4 As people have mentioned. Saquon can still break some more records in the Playoffs Terrell Davis Most Rushing Regular Season/Playoffs - 2476 Eric Dickerson Most Rushing in a Playoff Game: 248 Timmy Smith Most Rushing in the Super Bowl: 204

January 5Jan 5 Author With 138 yards rushing yesterday in Baltimore’s regular season finale, that leaves Henry with a total of 1921 rushing yards. So Barkley will be your 2024 rushing title champion (even with sitting today’s game) as the next highest rushing total is Kyren Williams with 1299.
January 6Jan 6 Author I definitely understand the concern over losing players to injury in "meaningless” games (see Zay Flowers, Christian Watson, etc), but what a shame he didn’t get it (he likely would have had it in 16 games had he not been so selfless and sat out letting others eat when games were in hand early).
January 9Jan 9 We still have to get through this season, but once it's completed, we can look ahead and the question that I'll have is, can Saquon become the first back to have back to back 2,000+ yard rushing seasons?

So, 3 out of 4 ain't bad. Who predicted 2k+ yards? I don't know that anyone expected that.

January 12Jan 12 Author Today Saquon begins the quest for a different record - total rushing yards in a complete season (regular season and post season combined). Not the holy grail of records (single regular season - Dickerson is super lucky to still have that crown ) but this would still be a notable achievement. He now chases Terrell Davis who holds the all time record of 2476 total rushing yards set back in '98. At 2005 yards, Saquon needs 472 rushing yards this postseason to eclipse that mark.
January 13Jan 13 Author Saquon with 119 yards rushing so he passes Jamal Anderson for 5th most all time (combined rushing yardage in a single season … regular season and playoffs). 353 more rushing yards to pass Davis for #1 (88 more yards to pass Dickerson for #3). And he could have had another 59 yards tacked on to his total (which would have given him 178 rushing yards for the day) had he not given himself up at our 41 to ice the game.
January 13Jan 13 It took Barkley 48 games (3 full seasons) with the Giants (all of 2018 through all of 2020) to reach 15 total wins (15-33). It took Barkley 18 games with the Eagles to reach 15 wins.
