Saquon currently ranks 3rd in the NFL with 658 yards rushing (9 yards behind Jordan Mason for 2nd, 215 yards behind Derrick Henry for 1st).  It should be noted that both SF and Baltimore have played 7 games while we've only played 6. He's unlikely to catch Henry who by all accounts is have a career year ... heck, an all time great year.  But he is definitely earning his pay here, for those who doubted the signing.

In the 3 games since this last post ^^ Barkley is now 129 yards behind Henry who has played one more game.  :flex:

Closing that gap bit by bit. Surely though Barkley is ahead in total scrimmage yards?

Edit: just looked it up and no he isn’t. Surprisingly Barkley is only 62 yards ahead in receiving yards… But it feels like we are starting to get him going more in the pass game.

Also it is probably worth noting… Barkley is a game behind but he’s nearly 2 games behind as he’s been rested in 3 4th quarters.

Yes they showed a stat yesterday during the game where Barkley leads the NFL by scrimmage yards and rushing yards per game.  Although the latter stat may no longer hold with "only" 66 yards rushing yesterday.

Yeah I looked it up bud looks like Henry is back in front as he’s not actually that far behind in receiving yards.

Henry has a slight lead in TOTAL scrimmage yards but Barkley still leads in scrimmage yards per game 127.7 vs 121.6 for Henry).  ;)

That’ll do for me then! 😊

And now, with an equal number of games played (10) currently, Saquon leads Henry in total rushing yards (1137 to 1120).  :flex:

Saquon also leads in total scrimmage yards (1347 to Henry's 1216).

Obviously with an equal number of games played Saquon leads in rushing yards per game and scrimmage yards per game.

Barkley is currently 67 yards ahead of Henry in one less game played. It should be tough sledding for both of them as our Eagles head down to Baltimore to take on the Raven's 2nd ranked rushing defense while boasting the 7th ranked rushing defense.

Remaining rushing defenses the Ravens face:

Next Opponent: #7 Eagles - 99 yds/g

Yards: 1325

Avg Rank of opponents rushing defense: 15th
Avg rushing yds/g by opposing defenses: 115 yds/g

Rank

#4 Steeler - 90 yds/g
#7 Eagles - 99 yds/g
#11 Texans - 110 yds/g
#24 Browns - 130 yds/g
#29 Giants - 147 yds/g

Remaining rushing defenses the Eagles face:

Next Opponent: #2 Ravens - 77 yds/g

Yards: 1392

Avg Rank of opponents rushing defense: 21st
Avg yds/g by opposing defenses: 128 yds/g

Rank

#2 Ravens - 77 yds/g
#4 Steelers - 90 yds/g
#29 Giants - 147 yds/g
#30 Commies - 145 yds/g
#31 Cowgirls - 150 yds/g
#32 Panthers - 160 yds/g

The Rushing title would be a very nice thing to make Giants fans heads explode, but Super Bowl MVP would make them implode faster than the Titan sub on its way to the Titanic. That's the one that I want to see come February! lol

A running back who led the league in rushing and won a super bowl hasn't been done since Terrell Davis. So meh, nice for Barkley but, doesn't equal a super bowl trip.

If only there was already a thread tracking this.

The Ravens have a bye week coming up. Barkley has one more game to make up 48 yards. His season low is 47 yards vs. Browns.

Henry: 1,185 yards in 11 games played, 107.7 YPG = on pace for 1,831 yards
Barkley: 1,137 yards in 10 games played, 113.7 YPG = on pace for 1,933 yards

A double chance for Barkley perhaps? For our D to shut down Henry and for Barkley to run all over the Ravens D? Then a bye week for the Ravens and he could open up a bit of a buffer.

Wishful thinking. The Ravens D are better at shutting down the run than the Eagles according to the stats. It is the Ravens secondary that is wholly beatable. I anticipate a big game for the Eagles WRs-Brown and Smith; and Hurts.

Wishful thinking perhaps but have they come across Barkley yet? 😊

He could get 2k yards, that would be unbelievable.  Not in my wildest imagination did I think he'd be this good.

It is a two-man race. The current #3 Josh Jacobs is 299 yards behind Barkley. Jacobs has to outrush Barkley by 43 yards per game over 7 games to catch him.

Think Saquon has a bit of a chip on his shoulder this year?  255 yards rushing last night (on 26 carries for an impressive 9.8 yards per rush avg)!  And add another 47 yards receiving for 302 total scrimmage yards.  :flex:

After today's performance I think Barkley is close to being untouchable. Barkley today broke records since 1933. He just has to keep on going. Go Eagles!
