I guess Stockdale had his awful debate moment, but I thought that criticism was uncalled for. The guy couldn't hear the questions because of injuries from serving his country. The only thing he had left that he could have done to even get close to an outside shot was to throw a Hail Mary to the base.

Oh, McCain had zero chance to win that election, so doing something unexpected was his only move. Naming Liebermann (who was still a Democrat at the time) was his initial plan, but that wouldn't have really done anything. But given the economic collapse at the time, no Republican had a chance, especially against a generational politician like Obama.

Vance is unlikeable, creepy, boring, stiff, awkward. A complete dud.

Now GOP has done it twice over!

I hate the team he's on, don't like him personally and can unequivocally tell you sucks as a starting Qb. But I also find myself feeling sorry for a guy who's organization keeps setting him up to fail and makes him look even worse than he is.
