Hell of a career. Very odd and interesting. Found incredible success with Eagles but could barely make backup on other teams

Has gear in canton and records many QBs can't achieve

Also only the 2nd QB to beat Brady in the SB

The man was responsible for hands down the best night of being an Eagles fan of my life, I won't have a bad word said about the guy. 

There are few ex Eagles I'd buy a drink for (most earn more a year than I ever will), but Nick Foles would get free beers as long as he wants. 

Hope he enjoys a long and happy retirement. God bless him.

Thank GOD he played at his absolute best when we needed it most.  Foles' 9 jersey is the only jersey I've purchased in the past 20 years.  

I've been waiting for this, and wondered why it hadn't happened yet. 

I remember thinking the season was over when Wentz went down, but the SB run was pure magic. Never seen a QB just catch fire quite like that in the biggest moment(s) of his career. I kept expecting him to come back down to earth, but he just kept balling out.

I definitely didn't think that, I was pretty vocal in saying that I believed that Nick was going to lead us through the playoffs. That's not to say that I wasn't pissed at the Wentz injury, but I did believe in Nick's ability to take over successfully.

I'm not sure, but I do know that his 7 TD game vs. the Raiders came just a few weeks after Peyton threw 7 vs. the Ravens (in 2013). 

No, he was supposed to come back and win us another super bowl!

 

Glad we got to see him play and be a part of his biggest moments including win it all for us.

Nick is a steely eyed missile man - and some say his missile is on the large side.  No ****.

Haven't bought a jersey since the '80s, but I would be proud to wear his.

He finished 27-2 but iirc the first pick wasn't until after he threw 19 TDs which I believe is a record he shares w Peyton

Retire the dude’s number. Heck he’s already in the HOF. No one should ever wear his number in Philly again.

Not surprised, but it's still sad to see him retire. Will always be a Philly legend and one of my favorite Eagles. Thanks for the SB Foles, enjoy retirement.

I was at the game.  Foles got two more drives after he hit his seventh TD, and they went 3 plays and out on both - Nick had a 6 yard completion on one play, went back to pass and got sacked on another play, threw an incompletion on a third play, and other than that they ran the ball to keep the clock moving.  Then Barkley came in with about 9 minutes to play, and they went 3 plays and out on two more drives.

Could Foles have gotten another TD if left in for those last two drives?  I mean, I guess, maybe.  But they were way ahead and just doing the run-out-the-clock thing at that point, and it would have been pretty bush league for them to force the issue to get him an 8th TD pass.

So saying he "easily" could have broken the record is way more wishful thinking than an accurate statement.
