Everyone on the 53 man is healthy, and there will be 2 PS elevations (Gates and a 3rd TE) for Game 1, so that means there will be 8 inactives. My guesses:

1. McKee - Emergency QB
2. Wilson - Doesn't play ST, so Covey will be the only backup WR. My guess is that if any of the WRs go down, we'll still see a lot of 11 personnel, but with Calcaterra in the slot.
3. Keegan - Late round pick who only plays LG. The clubhouse leader for "The Feeley" Award (a guy on the 53 man roster who is deactivated for every regular season game).
4. Kinnard - They usually only dress 8 OL. Fred Johnson will be the backup OT, Steen the backup OG (who can play OT if 2 OTs get hurt) and Gates the backup C (who can also play OG if 2 of them get hurt).
5. Byron Young - I know Vic likes having 6DTs ready to play, but with the 2 PS callups and him being new, they'll likely only dress 5.  Plus BG is likely to move inside on passing downs.
6. Trotter, Jr.  - I think they'll dress all 6 DEs with Patrick Johnson, Hunt and Smith being core STers.  And while Trotter Jr. made it ahead of Burks,  I think they'll go with experience, at least for the first few weeks.
7. DeJean  - Still coming back from injury.  Once he gets healthy, likely in about a week or two, they'll have to decide between deactivating Hunt, Trotter, Jr. or Burks (assuming no new injuries).
8. Ricks - No need for a CB5, especially with Maddox available if multiple CBs get injured during the game.

Well thought out - makes sense even though I’m eager to see Trot play. Also, I think you’re right about Byron Young - he’s there when Hunt hets worn out in the second half of the season and we can no longer stop the run. 

That's probably pretty close to being right.   

I think Ricks would dress before Hunt. You can’t have "all” of your special teams guys be linebackers. You still need fast guys as gunners. That means cornerbacks.

I agree that DeJean probably won’t be in uniform on Friday. 

With Devin White ruled out, Trot will likely suit up.

Good point.  Ringo will be one of the gunners. If  Ricks (and DeJean) don't dress my guess is that Isaiah Rodgers would do it.

Agree.  White will be important.   Don't really believe the rumors, but can't see releasing the most experienced LB with big game experience.  People complaining White can't cover, but neither can Dean

Coverage isn’t really a strength of any of our LBs I don’t think… Though Dean I think is better than White in coverage.

Idk about that he is apparently already in the dog house. He has a piss poor attitude which is why he was available in the first place. I'm sure Dean getting the start over him already pissed him off and now all of a sudden has a injury just pop up out of no where. The guy is horrific in all aspects of the game.

You might be right and if the rumours are true then yeah maybe we will trade him. And if it is true then we should try to trade him. But I think every LB on this team has a specific role to play and it is going to be heavy rotation.
