Baun deserves Nick’s parking spot.

Baun also deserves an in season extension.

That said, Howie doesn’t seem to like paying linebackers. I’m worried he might be here this year and gone.

Extend him today

But will they pay him? Hmmmmmm

Got to give Howie and Fangio credit on Baun, because from the beginning Fangio had this guy in the starting lineup. Not only is he a guy out there making tackles, but he’s also out there making plays. He’s getting sacks, fumble recoveries, and interceptions. He’s been one of the best Howie free agent signing so far.

He is playing really well and bringing the best in Nakobe Dean too. They are playing together at a high level right now and we haven't had lb play like this for some time

He's playing like he knows what he's doing. Hope he continues the upward line of trajectory.

The Eagles had good LB play in 2017 and 2022. :flex:

He's an actual LB'er. He looks like a standard sized WLB and he's clearly smart too.

Very good question. They don’t like to pay these guys and if they really believe in Trott Jr. then it’s a very real possibility they won’t.

Eagles Coach Ignored Howie Roseman's Thinking on Big Breakout Player of the Season

Philadelphia Eagles DC Vic Fangio has revealed that he ignored GM Howie Roseman's offseason assessment of LB Zack Baun this summer.
Roseman's initial evaluation projected the veteran linebacker as a "backup edge rusher/special teams contributor," however, Fangio wasn't having any of that

I think we were all in agreement with Howie at the time of the signing.

Definitely, anyone pretending this is what he was going to turn into are full of sheet lol. Im glad that Howie is letting Vic run and play the players he thinks are best for his defense.

I know there have been rumblings over the years that Howie dictates who plays and who doesn't. How true this is we will never know but, if howie was doing that im glad he isnt anymore or at least under Vic he isnt

I think a lot of people tend to forget that Fangio was a linebacker coach when he was a positional coach. He has always had pretty strong linebacker play when he was at the 49'ers, and Bears as a coordinator. They picked Borland in the 3rd round in his last year at the 49'ers and he came in and was pretty great for them before retiring after his rookie year. Bowman's first year starting was also Fangio's first year with the 49'ers.

Not full of sheet...I read what half of Saints fans were saying and they were ****ing that the Saints misused him...He was a LB@ Wisconsin and a good one, the Saints moved him to DE until he had to fill in at LB for I think Kwon Alexander who got hurt. He put up great numbers in a short window. Fangio does great things with LBs...

First player since Shaquille Leonard in 2018 to record 125+ tackles, 3.5+ sacks, and 2+ takeaways in a season (still have 4 games to play!).  :flex:

They didn't pay RBs until Barkley. Maybe he'll pay Baun?
