So far 3 sacks I think. 2 from a linebacker and 1 from a backup d lineman.

I’m pretty sure at this point it’s completely fair for us to say… Huff is not going to get us sacks. In fact he may not even get a sack.

For what it's worth, Derek Barnett has 2 sacks so far this season (1 in each of the last 2 games).

It looks like Huff is working really hard at getting sacked...;)

The defense played really well last week against a pretty good offense. Now, if our offense can find a way to get a sizable lead, perhaps our pass rush will get a kick start. We're not forcing teams into passing situations in games where the largest lead is one score.

Oh that’s for sure! I see what you did there 😉.

I think Huff shows up against the Bucs. As bad as he has been the first 3 games, he is only 26 and he is playing in a new system. If Carter and Davis can cause collapse the pocket and force Baker to break the pocket he could get a couple of sacks in this game.

It’s sad when the oldest guy on your d line is the only one generating any pressure.

Keep Sweat as a backup and replace the rest. Oh, and they should be DE's not guys with a safety body on the edge.

All of the stat geeks tell me sacks aren’t necessary. All we need are those pressurezzzzzzz!

Mayfield's average time to throw in this game was 2.22 (tied for 2nd quickest performance this season) seconds. The fastest sack this season so far is 2.43 seconds.

Our pass rush today is really not the issue. The only way Fangio's philosophy will work is if the tackling is good. Today it was pitiful.

He wouldn’t get them in this lame bend don’t break defense the Eagles play.

Just watch the pressure Baltimore puts on Josh Allen and he’s having a terrible game. We would sit back in that soft zone and let Allen pick us apart. He’d probably have 350 and 3 TD’s by now.

Year after year it's the same thing....this team can't blitz worth a damn. Why is that?

I found it incredible given the eye test but according to NFL.com we're like joint 8th about 1.5 sacks a game off the best in the NFL.

We're also 6th in tackles, which is unbelievable given the number I think we've whiffed on.

Well first they would have to actually blitz and second hire a defensive coordinator that actually blitzes

Yeah, because our guys played so far off their receivers they were always open. All he had to do was quick short passes and it was almost a guaranteed first down.
