I still remember that horrible day. We should have won the SB that year with that defense. So F Paup and F the Packers.

#1 defense straight across the board and we had to use 6 different QB's, ended with a 10-6 record and didn't even make the playoffs.  That was the year of the House of Pain game which is still the most violent display I've ever seen put on by a defense.  Historically, that defense was more dominant than the Bears and Ravens defenses that get so much acclaim....no why?  Because we didn't win anything because Paup went low and took out Cunningham's knee.  You are correct...f the Packers.

While I feel for the kid and don't wish injury on anyone, I understand, sometimes, a debt has to be paid.

Karma took its good, sweet time, but eventually.....

I don't think one thing has anything to do with another. I don't think Carter went out there thinking "I gotta get revenge for Paup."

Yup. Agree 100% with the OP.

What debt? These kids weren't even alive. This is silly. Injuries happen.

I think there are tons of precedents of "not being born" as not absolving guilt or responsibility.

There is no guilt or responsibility. You all acting like a injury from 30 years ago calls for a blood debt or some other nonsense. It's part of the game. There is no "revenge" to get. It's a game.

Bingo. If you went up to one of these kids and went "this is payback for what Paup did" they would say "who the F is that?"

An Eagles always pays it's debts. When you play the game of Lombardi's, you win or you die.

tldr; Let's agree to disagree.

STFU. We're just having fun with our 'revenge' posts. Stop taking everything so seriously.

I’m glad it only took 33 years.

Don’t want to wish bad luck on anyone else’s player. The only issue I have is with the classes Packers fans giving Carter death threats. This crap would be front and center on WAPN if Eagles fans pulled that ceap.

We've played them pretty consistently in the last 30+ years. Why this game in particular? We seem to win more than we lose when playing the Packers.

It wasn't payback for anything.  It was the kind of accidental injury that sometimes happens in football.  That is all.
