Atlanta gets a TD+ at the LInc next Monday. They lost by 8 to Pittsburgh Sunday as a 4 point home favorite.

Line: Eagles - 6.5
Total: 48/48.5
Moneyline: Eagles -275/Falcons +220

Let’s make them 0-2 vs the state of Pennsylvania.

Based on what we saw yesterday we really should be moving to 2-0. But I think Atlanta will absolutely be better and let’s not forget they got shut down by a good defense.

Who's their QB again?

Kirk Cousins.

I want to see how our defense performs against that team on our field instead of the ice show in Brazil.

I take the Eagles to win and to cover. GB are a better team than ATL and we won´t have to face so many headaches we can´t control, such as a long flight and a crappy field.

Me too bud and I hope that’ll help the pass rush… But I don’t think we are as good a defense as Pittsburgh.

Well, we don´t have TJ Watt... but we do have Jalen Carter, who could become as good one day. He certainly has a very high ceiling

And Carter looked good week one too! But typically DTs don’t tend to get as many sacks. They can be just as disruptive of course but just in a different way.

That said… Coupons looked to have little to no mobility in the pocket so that interior pressure could cause havoc.

Maybe, but I am not ready to judge them just yet. The defense did have a few bright spots in Brazil too.

For whatever reason, Kirk Cousins always seems to have regular season success against us regardless of the uniform he is wearing.  He has a passer rating of 101.3 with 3,341 yards, 26 touchdowns and 9 interceptions in 11 games against the Eagles in his career.

Success in terms of numbers yes. In terms of wins? Not so much recently. Isn’t this the third year in a row we will face him week two on MNF? And we’ve beaten him the last 2 years. But that’s Coupons in a nutshell… Puts up good numbers but overall the guy is a loser.

He is 6-5 against the Eagles for his career.  And the wins and losses tend to come in consecutive seasons.  If you go back over the past few seasons, he tends to go 0-2 then 2-0 then 0-2 again.  Based on a purely technical chart line, the statistical average would be that he’s due for a win.  That really means nothing because they have to play the game and Atlanta looked out of sorts last week.  But I don’t know that I would take the Birds and give 6.5.  That’s a lot of points to give against a QB that has had success historically against the Eagles.

This should be a blowout. We'll see

Apparently Cousins looked pretty awful Sunday. Struggled planting and throwing. Threw two picks and a few other really ugly balls. I like us to cover.

Yeah I’m not sure I’d back us at -6.5 either! I think we win but I think it’ll be close again and we might win by 3/4 points.

Eagles 28

Falcons 17.

Falcons by 17.

I think the Falcons is the weakest receiving corps he's had in his career, Drake London is the best they've got and he's produced at WR2 level so far. The rest of their receiver room is filler. Pitts is probably the biggest receiving threat they have and even he doesn't score as much as you would expect a TE of his caliber to. I expect the cover to be more consistent than it was week 1, we should be fine.

He’s also been known to play poorly on MNF. Eagles are at home and have an extended break. No reason why they shouldn’t have a successful game outcome.

Yeah he’s got a poor prime time record to be fair. Probably a good time to get him early in the year too in a new offense.

Eagles should win this one easily. But it is one of the bigger point spreads this week. 7 points is a lot. Watch out for the backdoor cover.

A lot of that success came when the Eagles were down and bad during his Washington years. Including the 2018-2019 down and bad seasons. He hasn't had success when the eagles were good. That record also doesn't include playoffs, because his Vikings were favored when they got blasted by us on our way to win the SB in 2017 season.

If they don't fix their scheme predictability and if Cousins can't move still they are in a lot of trouble. The Falcons ran nearly every play out of Pistol and threw from Shotgun formations last week. If that is going to continue our defense will feast.
