In the end, we still have backup centers on the PS, so it's not the end of the world.

Certainly not the end of the world.  But remember, Kelce was poorly regarded his first few years here.  You never know if or when a young player will break out.

Are you worried that Cam won't cut it?

I think this was one of those roll of the dice situations where Howie thought he'd get McMahon successfully through waivers (check) and then be able to safely stash him on the practice squad (fail) to be called up as needed this year thinking he isn't ready to play at this level yet.

The first part of the move worked as planned.  But PS is not a safe place as other teams could sign them to their full roster, which happened to McMahon.

Bradberry's contract makes it hard to cut him straight.  Go to IR is the way to clear a roster spot without getting hurt on financial term.  He is almost sure gone after this season.  A nice year to get paid without doing much.

I agree ... that's why I included (check) and (fail) in my post after each part (getting McMahon through waivers and to safely stash him on the PS).

He'll be back

A wasted draft pick. Brilliant.

A late round draft pick didn't make a team that has made it to the postseason 3 years in a row ... Who would have guessed?
