He doesn't deserve to play when he drops game-winning catches like those.

Yes let’s bench our best overall player from the last 2 games because he dropped a pass in a situation where we should have been running the ball. What an excellent idea.

He catches that, Eagles win. No excuses. A message needs to be sent that this is unacceptable.

Kenny Gainwell, please don't post on this board anymore.

Then Sirianni should be fired for making bad decisions. Hurts should be benched for so many turnovers. Smith should be benched for his drop that would have been a TD. Huff and the entire DL should be benched for their atrocious showing in both games.

It was a very simple catch and Saquan choked it away. Anyone can catch that pass, except for him apparently. Absolutely NO excuse to not catch that.

99 times out of 100 he makes that catch. In fact on the previous drive he made an almost identical catch. Many players have made many mistakes not just Saquon.

I mean, that was simple stuff. A dreadful drop, but it happens. Better it happens now than in the playoffs.

Still, you know Brian Westbrook would never have let that happen.

I mean right now I don’t think we can really think about that. Lots to fix first.

I´m not worried. It happens, and like I said on the other thread, I´m not pleased but still chill. It´s a long season, too early for the sky to be falling in yet.

Oh I agree with that. It’s week 2 and weird things happen and upsets happen. I think the reason I’m worried is our next 2 are against good opponents. We may split those games but could easily lose both. The things we’ve seen are the things we were concerned about and our HC is a clown.

Easily 1-3 when the defense cannot get a stop.

Who on the defense makes you feel confident?

Mitchell? Sure. Who next?

Where are the Fangio Warriors?

Van Ginkel?...

He has one of the best records in the NFL since he´s been in the league, not sure you can say he´s a clown. That´s just message board overreaction (which I understand, and is valid, of course). It was a freakish loss from a position where I thought we looked comfortable most of the game. It happens.

And how many times did that happen last year? We had like 4 games which we lost when having the lead with under 2:00 to go. Yeah Sirianni had a really good record but it’s become more and more apparent he was not the reason for that.

Then who was?

The coordinators (most specifically Steichen) and they had playmakers on defense. What exactly does he do? Other than cheer from the sidelines and make questionable in game decisions?

Head coach of the 0-2 Colts? That guy? Please.

Just because he’s 0-2 as a HC doesn’t mean he wasn’t a good OC bud.

Richardson is even worse than Hurts.

No fooling.

I'd run to the airport barefoot to pick up Steichen as OC.

Jim Mara posting in the EMB is epic!

Should have ran it and chewed up clock. After the way the defense played why did he think he could trust them to make any sort of a stop?

With all the changes and really no play during the preseason I have been predicting this year to be somewhat the opposite of last year ... a slow start to the season and (hopefully) they get on a roll and play better as the season progresses.  Fingers crossed!

The way last season went though I think impacted them last night. I’m sure when the offense only put up 3 and gave the Falcons just under 2 minutes to drive the defense felt tense. They did it on 4 occasions last year and there were a number of other games where they just got away with it. I think those issues from last year will rear their head quickly if this starts to snowball.

Please.  He's terrific.  Should have run the ball twice to ice the game.
