We weren't going undefeated. Better to lose now or later? I guess never is the answer, but it's inevitable. Does it matter if we lose to ATL, but beat a better team? Or vise versa? It don't matter, we weren't going undefeated.

This is TATE. There´s just as much whining and misery here when we win, if not more

I'm telling myself it's better to go through adversity earlier in the season.

Maybe they're going for the Brady era Patriots strategy of sucking early in the season and then like them go on a tear to win the SB (wishful thinking at it's finest).

The losses in a vacuum aren’t the issue. It’s how they lose. Bad coaching decisions. Lack of any pass rush. The inconsistent offense. Only one turnover, but at the worst possible time.

This offense shouldn’t fall apart with just the loss of AJ. Offensive depth and playmakers everywhere was supposed to be a strength.

It looks like the final month and a half all over again.

1-3 is coming

If we win next week then it rebuilds a lot. But you have to win games that are there to be win against average opponents. So what games can you lose? Well not games where you were in a position to win against a team you are better than.

It is more with how they lost. They should have been able to finish off the Falcons, instead they let them march down the field and score a go ahead TD in around a minute. If you look around the league, there are a lot of other high expectation teams that are also struggling (Ravens, Dolphins, Bengals, Jags, Colts, Rams, 49'ers). They have shown some positive signs and you have to hope with time they iron out the kinks. It is better to have these losses in September than Jan/Feb.

We probably gonna be 1-3 soon. I think best case we end up 10-7 like last year.

You expect to lose to better teams, especially on the road.

First home game, extra rest to prepare. The decisions made the coaches were bad, the defense was an embarrassment and they lost by 1 where they were MULTIPLE decisions that should gave gone differently that would have resulted in a win.

It's a continuation of last season until they prove otherwise. Of course there will be some rust and adjustment to the new schemes, but the offense should have scored 30+ and the defense was a disgrace on the last drive, plus no pass rush all season so far.

Quite possibly.

Its better to get the disappointment out of the way early instead of going 10-1 and then losing the next 6

If we don't make the SB he will be fired.

For sure fired then which is the first part of getting better.  Zero chance this is a sb roster, I mean it’s laughable. In my wet dream the 2024 Eagles can’t make the SB

How can anyone attempt to excuse that loss? How can you not get vibes of last season when this team couldn’t even get a hurt Cousins? Just a terrible loss.

What ever happened to the running back screen? Do we really need to see all of these stupid screens with WRs blocking with this big offensive line we have? We have an elusive quarterback and we don’t even try any RB screens? Is this offense any different from Sirianni’s last season just with more motions?

You're right, it'll be 2025

Well, games take on a certain importance depending on the opponent.  Division games are most important to win.....followed by conference games, then AFC conference games.

Obviously, they play to make the playoffs and make a run for the Super Bowl.  Losing to the falcons will factor in playoff standings.

When they win or lose, early or late, doesn't matter.

What matters most is whether or not the team improves as the year goes on.  Mistakes are killing them right now. Especially the offense because that puts direct pressure on this defense which obviously still need a lot more time to get better with this scheme. Defensive line is not performing with lack of rush and being pushed around on running plays.  We've seen multiple blown coverages, missed tackles and lack of takeaways from secondary.  The LBs have played pretty well, but if the DL and DBs play poorly, the LBs are really exposed.

I was more than pissed last night with the bad HC decisions.  I've lost faith in Sirianni......the team is 2-7 in last 9 games.  And headed for New Orleans and Tampa Bay.  2 more NFC opponents that can really play into playoff standings.

You do realize if we got to the SB he probably has the greatest win percentage in Eagles history by so much that it's actually not even a consideration.

You do realize he'd be the only Eagles coach to ever make the playoffs in all 4 seasons.

You do realize he'd lose his job having a top percentage of all coaches in the league.

Like, and I want to make this clear here. Why are the expectations for Sirianni so unrealistic? Why did Chip get more leeway from fans after going 10-6 twice? What's impressive about that?

Honestly. Feels like the city just doesn't like him and literally nothing he could do is good enough. Rationality is literally gone. When you despise someone so much that it no longer matters what they do, it's time for a divorce.

This is a bad loss because suddenly the Saints are really good and it is highly likely we go 1-2 now unless we get lucky.

We aren't winning sheeeiiittt with this D. Unless a miracle happens, this is going to be a lost cause. I hope not, but this D is a joke, just like last years.

Not going undefeated.  Not winning the SB.  Not going to the SB.

Winning one or more playoff games is possible but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Winning the division…it’s a 2 horse race.  So it’s possible.  But you don’t bet on a horse than is 2-9 in 11 games…so I’d put money on Dallas.

It's too early to tell what losses matter more, but my rule of thumb is: don't lose to NFC teams. If you're going to have an off day/night, make sure it's against an AFC team. Losing home games also seems like a slap in the face.

This loss has nothing to do with the saints. The falcons were coming off a bad loss at home and beat a team on the road that was favored to win heavily. Now we're in those shoes and have a chance to do the same thing. The saints aren't some kind of NFL juggernaut just because they looked good in the 1st two games of September.

Not a fan of losing any NFC games especially when there’s a chance to take a game lead over all NFC East opponents. Never good to lose a winnable game at home. This is the kind of loss that could hurt seeding for the playoffs. Eagles fans paid good money. They don’t deserve that kind of loss.

My guess it's bc of how talented this team is, especially on the offensive side
