October 21, 20241 yr I'd argue the ATL game was a good showing, until they choked it away. We don't have a true shut down defense I think, but IF they can get stops here and there, it'll be good enough to have a successful postseason run. Last season they couldn't stop anyone if their lives depended on it.
October 21, 20241 yr I know it's only the Browns and Giants, but having the D not allow a TD for 8 quarters is impressive. Hopefully they can hold the Bengals to 16 - 20 points. If so, the Eagles can win this game.

They were the first group to expose the Saints as well though too and they did it while the Saints were still healthy.

October 28, 20241 yr Dean still isn't a finished product and I'm sure he'd tell you that himself. I just don't understand how some fans aren't encouraged by his playmaking. When he has 30 or 40 NFL starts under his belt, watch out! At the very least, when watching young players, you want to see those flashes in games and we're getting those every week with Dean. His consistency should improve with experience. One thing about Dean that is rarely mentioned in discussion is that he wears the green dot and has that extra responsibility of communicating to the defense on the field.
October 28, 20241 yr The defense will look far better in year 2 than they do in year 1. The way they have been improving each week is a promising sign that they are starting to put it all together. The Georgia guys have all flashed at some point this season and they are all young. Davis is 24, Dean, Carter and Smith are all 23. Ringo is only 22. When you add in DeJean (21), Mitchell (23), Ojomo (23), Brown (24), Trotter (21) and Blankenship (25) that is an extremely young core. Rodgers, Williams and Huff are all 26 and Sweat and Baun are both 27. You also have Booker who has flashed and he is 24 as well. Young guys will have their inconsistencies, but they could be scary in the next couple of years
