Hot start has Eagles legend Brandon Graham re-thinking retirement

Before the season started Brandon Graham said this would be his last ride with the Eagles, but his play as of late has him thinking differently now.

Too early to make that decision, he may feel different again after the season and his body is worn out.

He's playing great and still at a high level and outperforming everyone else though so that's been a blessing.

He's thinking about it.

It's both a testament to his work ethic and longevity and an indictment of our other DEs that he's currently the best one on the roster right now at the age of 36.

Was just getting ready to post this in 411.

I'd love if he played another season since he is still productive in a limited role (and accepts the role).

Go ahead, I can take this down

He was already going to accept a limited role this year, and Fangio told him this isn't a ceremonial goodbye tour, you're going to play.

BG is dedicated. But we'll see what his body is like after the toll of this season. There's also an emotional element. Kelce was partially done for the last couple years, wondering if each season would be his last.

No no … don’t delete this.  I have plenty of other pieces to post.  🙂

I wouldn't say that he's playing at a high level.

BG is strong.  He's not big.  I still wouldn't even say that "anchor" is or ever has been a strong suit of his.  But again, he's strong.  Very strong.  And strength doesn't decline as much with age as explosion or speed.

They don't have edges playing at an NFL level right now.  And Graham can go in there and not get pushed around.  He's not good.  He can go in there at set the edge at an NFL level.  But that pretty much makes him the best we've got.

He’s not coming back to this dumpster fire. I wouldn’t be surprised if he retired in the middle of the season to get away from this.
