I'm currently reading Rocketman, a book about the astronaut, Pete Conrad, written by his wife.

Feel free to add books you like, or hate, or are not bothering to read.

I was skeptical considering the author, but it was focused on historical events and not so much on making a modern day comparison. I liked it.

You should probably listen to the audio version more than anyone in CVON

I'm currently reading "The Man with the Iron Heart" by Harry Turtledove. It's another alternate history "what if" novel (most of his are). This one takes place at the end of WW2 and in the novel Reinhard Heidrich survives the assassination and makes plans to lead an insurgency against the allies when they occupy Germany. Basically it makes the occupation of Germany in the aftermath of WW2 look like the occupation of Iraq, with NSDAP fanatics playing the role of insurgent terrorists. It's been really interesting so far.

I have this down at the bay cottage and I'm about 1/2 way through.  Inspired by true events in 1930s Australia. Anna has an undiagnosed mental illness.  She talks to her dead mother and sister.  Her real-life cousin is like a sister to her and Anna manipulates her husband to sleep with the cousin so she can have a baby so she will never leave her.  Pretty crazy story.

Read these recently, too. The first is short stories, which was very good.

Fairy Tale, is the finest boy and his dog story, I have read in decades. It was excellent.

I really, really liked "Danny Coughlin's Bad Dream" in the first one. that story stayed with me for a while.
