I'm not the one who can't figure out which country has nukes and which one doesn't.

Apparently you're also the one who hasn't figured out they are the only country who:

Attacks the US via proxies.

Has actually boarded US military ships and detained their crews.

Likely using drones in attacks from the one they hacked, stole, and reverse engineered.

Also just so happen to be the only non nuclear country manufacturing and stock piling weapons grade materials.

Also "Death to America".

Oh no, not a hacked drone! And they want to kill us too? Russia would never! roll

Iran gets a bomb, the whole middle east will get them.

You're biggest threat right now is who Biden dumped in the country. Could be your neighbor.

Keep your eyes open.

Iran and nuclear weapons do.

Apparently you don’t believe that Russian spies and operatives are in the US either? It’s delusional to even consider Russia a non threat to the US. They have infiltrated our western system ever since the Cold War ended and lots of countries don’t even know it. The Iran regime hates America for sure, but so does the Russian regime in power right now. Putin is the old KGB agent and his main goal is to make the west pay for the shame his nutty a s s suffered in losing the Cold War.

Way too early in the morning for this amount of stupidity. Heading to the beach.

The Iranian parliament has voted to close the Hormuz Strait

Did Iran move nuclear materials before attack.

we have the dumbest president in U.S. history starting wars without congressional approval…nbd.

Sure I do. Even our "allies" have spies here.

What countries are those? Again every country has spies in every other country. Though nuclear Russia's efforts in Ukraine have down graded them as a military threat.

Read a book. Preferably one related to the topic.

I would have.

Do what you do best.

Don't forget the sunscreen.

More than three times and you're playing with it.

Iran is more of a threat than Russia because we attacked Iran. But we haven’t attacked Russia because they have nukes. Duh. That’s how mutually assured destruction works.

Off to a good start

The window to attack the USSR / Russia directly closed in 1949 when they developed nuclear weapons. After they successfully infiltrated the Manhattan project. China (a close Russian ally back then) developed nukes in the 1960s:

I will say this - attacking a country and saying "they were close to getting nukes” isn’t great. It seems highly subjective, but whatever

Countries that are not able to defend themselves become terrorist states. They resort to terrorism because their military is nonexistent or not effective. Be careful what you wish for Procus.

@lynched1 agreed on that even allies spy on each other. There is still a difference if the spies and operatives are used to undermine the country and willingly harm it (like Russia, Iran, China, North Korea would do to a democratic country).

I would say that Germany is probably the country with the biggest problem on this issue (Russian operatives). Other European countries as well. After the fall of the Soviet Union, thousands of Russians with some sort of German descent were sent to Germany as immigrants. Lots of those still held and hold their allegiance to Russia. Many are Putin followers and some of those are in the German government and military.

I’m sure plenty are also in the US. Russia’s threat may be diminished at the moment because of Ukraine, but what happens if they are allowed to succeed?)

Yeah, it isn't clear cut. On the other hand, Iran with nukes under the current regime is not something anyone wants either.

You’re right. I do like things clear cut. So I’m sure you are wrong instead of there being a small chance you are right for once.

The problem with Russia's poor relative outcomes in Ukraine is that their operations there aren't indicative of their overall threat to Europe. They're not doing as good as they should be (thankfully), but they haven't fully mobilized either. Given a few years of not fighting, they can reconstitute their equipment to a level that would threaten the Baltic states. Also, Russia is very good at one thing: learning as they go. They screwed the pooch to start, but they keep adapting.

The way to blunt them, and other totalitarian actors who want to reach beyond their own borders, is to make them completely fail at what they're trying to accomplish. It is what it is, but the only real way to do that is through military intervention.

No, it’s not clear cut. Unless you know something I don’t know.
