I went to NYC last week for my niece's graduation from high school. She's so hopeful and optimistic about the future. I just played along.

my younger son graduated last week. hearing the student speeches that were so full of hope for the future sounded awesome, then i had to leave the arena and face reality.

now, the arena was in trenton, so not exactly the best reality to walk out to.

That’s exactly what is so infuriating to me about what is going on in the US and the World in general. My generation has had it really good and for the most part have had stability and a democratic world order. What’s on the horizon for my kids and your niece etc. looks very dark. It’s a shame and it shows how dumb people are. Many never realize what they have until it’s gone… and maybe gone forever.
