We are invested in Green Thumb Industries. Multi-state operator that is generating serious cash flow and not just wasting money. Ticker in Canada is GTII CN, US ADR is GTBIF. Obviously, make your own decision and this is not investment advice, just my opinion. But it's by far and away the best management team in the industry, IMO.

Its on the SEC restricted list no?

No, you can buy the ADR. They are the first MSO to do an equity offering in the US. Just can't list on an exchange due to federal laws (same as all others).

Republicans will never vote to legalize marijuana.

The # 1 Reason given as to why?

Marijuana is one of the many tools of the devil.

That opinion is about 15 years out of date.

Remarkably, this rewiring of the brain after a single dose appears to be long lasting: a month afterwards, the psilocybin-fed mice had 10 percent more neuronal connections than before they had taken the drug. The increased density of these crucial neuronal connectors had observable benefits: mice showed behavioral improvements and increased neurotransmitter activity.

"These new connections may be the structural changes the brain uses to store new experiences," says Yale's Alex Kwon, associate professor of psychiatry and neuroscience and an author of the paper

Then by all means make them available by prescription under a doctor's supervision.

Marijuana and Psicolybin should be studied extensively by the medical community before being specifically approved for medical uses a a prescription medication.

But until then, adults should be allowed to do what they want to do. Particularly when it comes to treating things like pain, anxiety, depression, PTSD etc. Their original classification as narcotics was firmly based in moral BS which kneecapped research into initially very promising medicinal profiles. It's absolutely inexcusable that we put people in jail for using either while being able to hand out opiates with minimal repercussions.

Disagree at least on the mushroom front, but do agree on a large extent regarding jail time.  Haven't tried shrooms, but have heard accounts of people ingesting too much after not getting high after a while, only to freak out later on.  From where I'm sitting, better to err on the side of caution with this one and keep them as an illegal substance.  As for opiate abuse, it's a horrible epidemic and too many young people overdosing and dying, not to mention getting addicted.  Tragic.  Abuse from both illegal use and prescription use.

I would think given your liberal take on lack of restrictions for use of marijuana and psicolybin that you'd be less opposed to the idea of keeping Ivermectin in one's medicine cabinet just in case they come down with Covid.  I'd also think you'd be more open to consideration of apprehension of people to submit themselves to vaccines that have not undergone the rigorous testing that have been required by other vaccines.

People that are bi polar, personality disorders, schizophrenia or a family history shouldn't take any psychedelics in my opinion, but from experience time off is irrelevant.

We should also lean on the side of caution and make McDonald's and alcohol illegal. You know because it kills people.

I was told the legislature would be blunt about it. Sooooooooo.....still waiting.

Ridiculous bordering on laughable false equivalence, but I'm not gonna drag another thread down with a back and forth on COVID with you.

As soon as the votes and the economics justify it they will vote to legalize.  We are super close now.

the economics justify it already. challenge there is that states are stupid with how they're trying to maximize tax revenue from it.

Yep though not yet something that is widely understood and then you have the problem with the taxes as you point out.

Just look at blue Jersey. Now that early states have shown that tax revenue is imminent it became all about a political fight over how to tax and what to spend it on.
