Are a lot of studies being done at different universities like John Hopkins on these drugs such as MDMA and shrooms curing PTSD and depression. If he cared he would allow uses of these drugs for cancer patients for end of life, depression, PTSD, and a slew of other things big pharma wants to give you pills for. Psychedelics could have a transformative evolutionary impact but the great American brain trust that runs society prefers pacifying the masses with mind-numbing indica and booze.
November 9, 20222 yr Looks like 4 of 5 passed. So now 23 of 50 states and FAR more than 50% of the population covered.

November 9, 20222 yr I was opposed to legalizing psychedelics, until I saw the NOVA show on it's medical benefits. it shows promise for PTSD. So from a medical perspective it does show some promise. But for legalization to the general public, not sold. https://www.pbs.org/video/can-psychedelics-cure-lxqulz/ Hallucinogenic drugs—popularly called psychedelics—have been used by human societies for thousands of years. Today, scientists are taking a second look at many of these mind-altering substances – both natural and synthetic – and discovering that they can have profoundly positive clinical impacts, helping patients struggling with a range of afflictions from addiction to depression and PTSD.

I agree. The trials with psychedelics are conducted in extremely controlled environments. I believe psychedelics should be allowed under doctor supervision. There is too much potential for misuse or abuse if allowed for recreational use.

Two of the states that were positive in the earlier results have flipped so only 2 more added and now 21 our of 50. Still, good progress.

I agree that we need to open up the use of psychedelics, but weed and booze shouldn’t even be used in the same sentence. While not a panacea, weed provides relief for plenty of ailments without always numbing the mind.

What’s the difference between someone getting drunk, or someone taking a trip in the confines of their own home? The potential to abuse alcohol is pretty high without supervision.

January 2, 20232 yr Just infused some MCT with an ounce of flower. Is the leftover, used, flower 'pulp' worth saving? Anyone have any useful tips on what to do with it, other than throwing it away? If it's useful, I don't want to trash it.

February 4, 20232 yr Any of you dirty hippies have any experience with 3chi? They sponsor a NASCAR car and i fell down a rabbit hole looking into them. Seems like they make delta 8 and delta 9 stuff but derived from hemp plants to make it federally legal.

Haven't in a while now that I found a delivery service for actual gummies delivered from a dispensary about 30 min away. Their watermelon d8 gummies were solid, I almost preferred the high from those compared to the d9 ones I have now. More of a mellow body high if you just wanted to relax after a long week.
February 4, 20232 yr Oklahoma has the chance to legalize it on March 7 during a special election. Make sure everyone you know in the Sooner State is registered and ready to vote YES on SQ 820. Missouri's in for a great weekend. Adult-use cannabis sales began this week at select dispensaries.
March 17, 20232 yr As I've mentioned, I use gummies or tincture for my mother, who is in chemo and has lost a lot of weight because of that. She got to where she didn't like taking drops or gummies due to the dizziness that it caused (which I told her would go away after she built up a tolerance to it). So she stopped taking any for a while. On Feb 8th, her weight dropped below 100 lbs (99.6). That made her decide to start taking them again, which she discovered that they don't make her dizzy anymore. Between Feb 8th and March 15th, she went from 99.6 to 107 lbs. Her doctor was almost extatically happy with the steady gain over that period. So they're definitely helping. I was going to make gummies myself, but just don't know how I'd be sure of the strength of each gummy. One might be 10mg whereas another might be 4mg or 12mg. Maybe I'm overthinking that, but for her, I have to overthink it lol. That said, I am going to make tincture. I have a THC tester and can get a good idea of how much THC is in each ml. She hates the taste of it, so I may put it into gel caps for her to take. I think that making it myself, rather than buying manufactured stuff, will give me more ability to use something specifically geared toward appetite.
