Damn, that really sucks. It definitely hits people differently, there's no doubt about that. Couch lock for me pretty much turns euphoric depending on what it is and how much I've had. That's Indica though. Sativa turns me into an anxiety ridden mess like 90% of the time.

This is why I kept giving it another chance in Denver - kept waiting for that supposed euphoria to set in.. any time now.  Instead I would either end up hugging the toilet bowl or rocking myself in a corner crying to make the feeling stop   Fun times.  Unless I was already drunk - then I'd be fine and it would just make me want to play wii bowling or tiger woods golf and get mac and cheese topped pizza slices from across the street.

yeah i got a crash course in, "knowing your doses" that day. 

I pay attention to the terpene profile of what I get moreso than the THC content...especially on hybrids and sativas.  Indicas are mostly myrcene and caryophyllene heavy.  I'm a big fan of strains with Limonene in them too.

Question for the smoke shop vets in here, do they sell joints at these shops? Like can I buy some edibles and then also a few spliffs for nostalgia's sake? Are they even comparable to the weak stuff we used to roll 20 some years ago or is one hit gonna floor me like a Mike Tyson uppercut?

If memory serves me correctly, yes.  We usually got edibles or flower though so I could be wrong.

Some places sell pre-rolled joints. Just depends on the shop.

You'll probably want something <10% THC to start. Light it up and go slow with it. Take a couple of puffs and then wait a couple of minutes. Repeat until you feel like you've had enough. You'll know.

Probably depends on what part of the country you're in. But in MA nothing has been too ridiculously strong. The gummies barely touch my wife and  give me just a good steady high for a few hours.  WAY more consistent and predictable than anything I've had not from a dispensary. I don't really use flower but she says it's stronger better and more consistent than crappy college/grad school level stuff you'd get, but not stronger than stuff you'd get from a good quality dealer. Just a bit more customizable type of high if that makes sense. I'm sure there are places with crazy strong stuff but these places have to have appeal beyond hardcore stoners. There are usually almost as many 50 year only women wearing pearls in line as there are 20 year olds with drug rugs and gauge earrings. 

They sell flower as well as prerolled stuff in addition to all the edibles and tinctures.

You can't get pre-rolls in PA.  Technically you're only supposed to vape dry leaf.  As far as edibles it's get an RSO or distillate and make your own or buy capsules which are way over priced compared to taking 20 minutes to make your own edibles out of RSO.

Interesting. The laws from state to state and country to country are all over the place. Pre-rolled are legal here.

Those are light.  When I make my gummies out of RSO they're triple that per bear.  Generally there is about 800mg of THC in a 1000mg syringe.  Generally I'll get 60 or so out of a batch.

Oh they knew what they were doing out there.  There was a delivery service that brought fresh, hot, soft baked cookies, strawberry milk, and peanut butter ice cream right to your door.  It was called The Dirty Cookie.  There was another one that delivered all manners of munchies - doritos, snickers, hot dogs, etc

I'm a light-weight in general.  1 I can feel good but still be functional and interact with people if need be.  2 if I want to be a POS and completely devolve.

My FIL could probably eat this whole bag and go do his job and no one would notice.
