I have a conundrum with injury concerns at RB this week. Both of my typical starters are banged up - Mixon and Cook. So I picked up the handcuffs - Akers and Davis. But I also have Austin Ekeler riding the bench. The word is Brian Robinson is banged up too. So Ekeler could be starting against the Ravens on Sunday, whose defense has been gashed recently especially in the passing game (Ekeler's specialty). The Bills play the Jets, who have a stout D, on Monday night. There is no guarantee Davis will be the replacement if Cook sits. So what would you do? Play Ekeler on Sunday? Or wait to see if Cook plays on Monday night, substituting Davis in if he is out?

I would go with Mixon and risk Ekeler against the Ravens. If Mixon is out I would risk Cook/Davis.

Dameon Pierce is back for the Texans as well. So they could potentially field 4 RBs against the Patriots: Mixon, Pierce, Akers, and Ogunbowale as the 3rd down RB.

I can get potential handcuffs Ty Johnson or Dameon Pierce off waivers - by dropping Akers or Davis.

Ogunbowale is the only Texans handcuff I'd bother fielding. I don't think the others are very good or will eat into the share of the carries. At least Ogunbowale has the receiving floor

It sounds like Cook is a lock to play as well

I feel like there is a bellcow RB in the Houston offense. Mixon was doing great until he got hurt. Does he come back strong, or do they take it easy on him? Akers had his chance but he didn’t do much with it. Dameon Pierce has had his moments. Ogunbowale has value since he will catch some balls. Who will it be this week? I don’t know. Part of me wants to bench them all and go with Cook Monday night. But I hate the matchup.

I hope you started Mixon

I did. :flex:
Dameon Pierce got in the end zone too.

I decided to take the sure points on Sunday and play Ekeler. And once Mixon was confirmed he was in I played him too. Luckily it turned out to be enough and I didn't have to worry on Monday night. Because it turns out Cook was ruled out. Ray Davis, instead of Ty Johnson, was the biggest beneficiary.

I have Mixon and Kamara who are 2 top 5 backs. I thought RB was the weak spot on my team.

I have the same RBs going into Week #7.

This time it looks as if Mixon is healthy. So no-brainer he is starting. James Cook and Brian Johnson didn't play last week and are still questionable. Do I sub Ray Davis for an injured Cook? Or risk playing Ekeler who has an even better matchup against the Panthers?

You're probably going to have to wait until the last minute. If Robinson is out, I'd go Ekeler, but otherwise Davis.

I ended up starting Mixon and Cook. It was enough. Interesting Ray Davis had more yards/points in a backup role to Cook.
