If Barkley doesn't have a brain fart on 2nd and 1 before the half, we don't spot the crap team 7 points.

4 points or 11 points. This team should have destroyed the Browns with everything we had going for us. Weak response.

So you’re comparing winning a close game for the championship to just inching past the 1-4 Cleveland Browns at home? That’s what we’re doing?

Yes, yes, that's what we're doing.

It was only inching away bc of the FG block and return. Otherwise it's a blow out. Their O scored 9 points.

11 points is hardly a blowout.

So this team that you all have been so disappointed in and regularly pick against in the weekly predictions should have all of a sudden turned into some kind of powerhouse that destroys teams.

I'm not sure how that works.

Our defense that hasn't really been all that great (to date) did manage to hold a struggling offense to 3 FGs (9 points). So ... was that expected? Our offense which has been struggling to date faced a good defense and managed to put up 20 points, despite our run game being shut down. The miscues before halftime were at the very least a 7 point swing, but could have very well been a 10 or 14 point swing. So aside from one series in the 2nd quarter, the Eagles did dominate. We could have scored more at the end, with just under 2 minutes left in the game, but did the smart thing (victory formation) to take the sure win.

If they’re as good as they were predicted to be, or as good as what you defend on a constant basis, then yes, they should have destroyed the Browns. Dallas destroyed them. On the road. An upstart Washington team destroyed them also. I predicted a 24-21 win, so the fact is, I wasn’t far off. I also said they’d make it harder than it needed to be, and I was right. This team hasn’t had a 20+ point convincing type win since the ‘22 season, and today is a day when they should have given everything they had going for them. But, it was more of the same. An uninspiring win that doesn’t leave you with great confidence going forward. I’ll say next week is more of the same. They should beat the Giants, but they’ll make it harder than it should be. Cincy the following week likely tears them a new one.

dallas had 265 total yards vs the browns. Their defense forced 2 INTs and dallas started in browns territory three times. Washington rushed for 230 yards against them and Cleveland wasn't having that again. Washington also forced 2 turnovers and started in Cleveland territory once plus the browns turned the ball over on downs once just past the 50. How many turnovers did our defense force today?

And if Barkley catches it, we're 4-1. So the problem is Barkley.  Trade him!!!

We had many chances before that was even the deciding factor. Siri managed a bad game and that's a fact!

And this team once again scores zero first quarter points. It’s a badly prepared team with poor game plans… And whilst yes the players have to take some blame eventually you just have to point at the HC for that.

None, because they’re a part of the overall disappointment of this team. I don’t absolve them at all. I know the Browns were held out of the endzone, but they still moved the ball effectively at times. Eventually, that dam breaks against better teams.

You sure seem keen on generating a beef with me, no idea why. Are you bored? I´m here to talk football, a game of opinions. It´s not that serious

I’ll blame that on Sirianni. Sure, Barkley had a brain fart but you’re still 3rd and 1 with 3 timeouts and then burn one TO for no reason and put Hurts in the shotgun where he gets sacked. This after going 4-4 on tush pushes. That blocked FG is 100% on Sirianni for running a pass play.

I blame him for the whole scenario around that FG... the time out was stupid then.. the clock was stopped we needed less then 1..run the play get the 1st THEN call TO...

I think he interjected himself into that scenario AGAIN.

At this stage, he needs to be uninterjected from the team

To me, heading into the game it was pretty much the same situation as when we played the jets last year. We faced a reeling team (jets) being carried by a strong defense that happened to be missing  their top 3 CBs for the game and who was starting Zach Wilson at QB. This year, we came up with a better result.

Once again, I want to point out that your expectations for this team right now, don't align with your disappointment. You have to date on the EMB predicted the Eagles to be 2-3 in the game predictions threads, but they are in fact 3-2. But somehow, that makes them disappointing. I'm not going to argue that this team is currently a powerhouse or something right now. They are not. Anybody can see that. But like any team, they can improve or fold going forward. So while they have begun the season as a middle of the pack team, they are sporting a winning record. There are currently 11 teams with a better record with 7 of those teams having the same amount of losses as the Eagles (meaning they have played 1 more game to get to 4 wins). We have played 3 of those teams that are currently 4-2 and beat the saints who were 2-0 at the time we played them.
