I like it

Dudes come a long way from curb stomping Rudolph with his own helmet I’m all in.

  • 4 weeks later...

Garrett apparently met with Brown's FO & GM and decided he didn't want to hang around for another "rebuild"........Howie can make this happen.....The Browns are 30 million over the cap, Garrett is under contract for the next 2 years, at 20 million cap hit per year.

I don't think it'll take 2 first round picks......probabaly one, but the eagles will be drafting very late in the first round for the next 2 drafts.

The eagles have some trade capital too......

You’re a little slow on trying to get this thread reopened 😛… the eagles also have Kenny Pickett that could be offered in the trade the browns need a stopgap qb.

One step behind is true......But I think Howie could get this done......

Mods should just open this back up

They will merge the threads and reopen when they get around to it.

Yes please

Howie should definitelly make a big move here ... If nothing, we want to rise the price for potenctial SB rivals to the max...

it could be an interesting offseason for sure!! I would definitely think we would be a team that interest Garrett, howie is known to make deals happen, and it’s a position of need with Sweat a free agent and Huff not showing much promise in year one.
I just feel Carter and Garrett beside each other over the next 2-3 seasons would be pretty much unstoppable

Huff and a first

Not worth giving up the draft capital or cap space

Huff would likely be more suited for the base 4-3 the browns run but I highly doubt they would accept him in a trade lol

You guys most love playing Madden. Can only imagine what your squad looks like

How would this compare to playing Madden? There are many reasons a trade like this could come to fruition

You think Howie is going to give up a ton of draft capital when they will have holes at DE and DT this offseason. Assuming they lose Williams and Sweat. Not to mention the incoming extensions for guys like Jurgens, Carter, and Smith. Garrett is going to want a new deal. He'll probably get 4 years 140. Yea let's give him that deal and let one of the younger guys walk

I think we all know that Howie can do some pretty creative things.  Yes, the eagles have a lot of young talent that needs to be resigned...and yes, Howie is not one to trade a ton of draft picks.  And maybe taking a swing at Garrett is reaching for the fences a bit.

But Howie has shown that he can work wonders with the cap.....when he makes a move, he seems to have a secondary move to ease the cost of the first.  Also, the browns are not the most savvy front office.

I think your point is very valid.  It's unlikely the eagles go after Garrett.......with how young the defense is, how well the eagles have been drafting the last 3 years and their ability to develop young talent with Fangio, it's unlikely that Howie would change the formula.

But it's fun to speculate adding Garrett to play next to Carter.....

Its hard to say how things will pan out but fun to speculate.. personally I think Williams will be asking to much for us to resign and I see much the same promise in Ojoma with a limited number of reps. I also view  Sweat as looking to get the biggest contract he can while he is still able to.

if the browns are stuck with wanting 2 first round picks for Garrett or more then it’s a definite No but if they are willing to take say 1 st, Kenny Pickett as a stop gap qb, and a couple 3rd or 4th round picks I would definitely think about it.

I think it is much more likely he ends up in a Commanders uniform than an Eagles uniform.  But we shall see.  Howie is going to have to get extra creative if he wants to bring him to Philly, especially considering the need to sign our own like Baun and Becton (and hopefully Williams) that should be prioritized.

Washington has a ridiculous $78M in cap space (based on projected cap amount of $272.5M) in 2025.  We start off the new league year with $18M.  But we always seem to be in this situation and it has never stopped Howie from doing what he needs to soooo ...

I would have absolutely no problém if Howie offered this year 1st and 2nd plus next year 1st and 2nd for Garret plus 3rd next year just so it looks better

I'm sure they'll want 2 first to start off. Doubt they want Pickett. I'm sure they'll try and get Sanders
