Hurts only threw 14 passes???!! WOW!!!

Someone up there told Julian L. to take a hike after the first quarter... We are still scoreless in the first Q. But we did everything right in this game except what we did before.

We took pressure of Hurts. We ran the ball. We exploited the run game to the edges.

Fans were screaming Run the ball and for once  Siri was smiling and listening to them.

This win is how we should approach a beginning of every game.

Lets get in rhythm and then no matter how good the opposing defense is, and Giants are good, we wore them out.

Nice.

Yeah, pretty low passing production today. Nothing bad happened and we ran wild in the run game, so I'm not upset with the low passing numbers... which normally would concern me.

The coaches (and I’ll give Sirianni credit for this) came in with a game plan and stuck to the game plan and that was seemingly to run the ball. So yeah the passing numbers were low but they were enough for us to comfortably beat the Giants.

I also think this offense is at its best when it is run heavy. Run to set up the pass as we know Hurts is a limited passer.

The one thing to think about this game, the Giants for as ugly as they look were leading the league in sacks, they do have incredible talent along that defensive line.  Being down our LT, you DON'T try throwing the ball all over the field.  While it's not as sexy as passing for 400 yards, the Eagles were smart and just ran all over them.

I don’t think many really mind that we ran so much and barely threw. It was a very good and very convincing performance and we all needed to see that. Yes we know Hurts will need to do more in other games but this team is set up to be a really good running team.

The Birds ran more than they passed...and it worked. I'm not expecting to see that again anytime soon.

I would be labeled a Fangio hater but I have been pleasantly surprised by 2 things (1) he will play the best player at each position and (2) he appears to be more willing to modify his scheme that I thought.

That's funny- I feel the same way about those 2 exact things. To see someone else put it in words is a little freaky. 😂

If you can run the ball nearly at will, then you're likely to win a lot of games.

No TOs from Hurts for 2 straight games. Nice to see that!! And the Defense didn't give up a TD for 2 straight games!!!

Being the pessimistic person I am, I don't expect these  things to last much longer.

VERY limited. I have seen all I want to see of Hurts. The rest of the year- just manage the game and don't turn the ball over. That's it.

And look that’s probably what they need to do… But that’s not going to be enough to beat the better teams in this league. It’s certainly not going to be enough to beat the best offenses with our average defense.

True. It takes great QB play to win in the playoffs. We don't have that.

The hope is… Hurts can regain that 2022 form. Do I think we will? No but that’s got to be the hope right?
