I dunno if it's just me but when I see Hurts throw to our TEs they are always wide open. Like almost every single time. I cant remember the last time Goedert had to make a tough contested catch.

So my big question is....why do we not throw to our TEs more often? Instead of these tough contested passes to AJ?

Didn’t Grant C catch like 6 for over 60?

idk, I feel like they're gonna lean heavily on Barkley because of the revenge factor, they've done it before with other players

Dallas was out. He is the primary TD threat. We also need TE to for blocking, because Hurts holds the ball for 3.2 seconds in 2024. In 2022 Hurts was holding the ball for around 2.8 Seconds.

Major regression on Hurts.

I think AJ kind of summarised it didn’t he? He said Calcaterra was open because they aren’t really keying in on him. He isn’t seen as a real threat to teams because there’s a small sample size with him.

Hurts is a 1 read 50 million dollar QB.  That 1 read is to look for his pals Brown or Smith, occasionally the TE.  After that he runs.

He is a 3rd tier QB but closer to a 4th tier pocket QB.

Pretty much this. Not to mention Hurts does not throw to the middle of the field which is a majority of the TE route tree.

Well most of the time Goedert is hurt, but he had a big output in the Saints game. I guess it’s a matter of preference/performance. Smitty and Brown are better weapons. The quarterback likes to throw the deep pass as if he’s trying to defy everyone who says he has a weak arm. Can’t really blame him for preferring to throw to Brown who is like a WR playing TE though.

I don't understand that at all, but I'm going to assume it's bad that Hurts is in the bottom left.

12 personnelzzzz

Goedert is pacing for a career year because he just had a couple of games as main receiver but yeah truth be told he never really became what he looked like he would when he was splitting duty then taking over from Ertz.

We went from a QB who threw to TE's as his first option to a QB who had them as a safety valve and nothing more.

He is a 2 Targets QB. Everything also looks non professional. Reads half the field and if his pre chosen targets are not open , he runs.
Dude is still young and should go back to square 1. Back to basics.

Instead he audibles and makes a mockery of OC calls. Eagles better figure something out quick. To have the best OL and not utilize them?!?!?
To put this product on the field?!?! What a shame.
If we loose to the Giants, I say it is a wake up call. Time to start cleaning the house, and changing non working upstairs philosophy.

Bc then people will say why are we only throwing to TEs???

Interesting…

Because of......Hurts.

Hurts picks one receiver and locks on them for that game. Usually it’s Brown or Smitty.

We throw to our TEs.

Dallas and Grant within the last 3 games have had very good games. Jalen/Moore/Offense/Nick doesn't use the middle of the field, in the intermediate 15 yard range. Where TEs traditionally are good
