VanSumeren Worked in nicely today hopefully they use that in the future! He played 2 games as a freshman at fb for Michigan before switching to rb the next year and then lb and ending his sr year at Michigan state

Nothing wrong with taking good ideas from other teams who have ran it successfully. If it works then great.

You can tell BVS enjoyed that. Also how many dudes did it take to tackle saquon. The guy is a monster.

Barkley was obviously great before he got here but now that he has a taste of some winning he's taking it to even another level. He's running like an absolute animal out there.

That was beautiful to watch. Dickerson and Jurgens on the double team, and then Dickerson leaves Lawrence to take on McFadden on the second level. BVS was terrific as a blocker as well in the few plays he was out there.

This team's strength is running the football. Keep doing it!

Especially since modern defenses are consistently being built lighter and quicker to stop the pass. A power run game in any form is turning into an effective unicorn these days. Keep doing it.

Baldinger pointed out that it's a good use of the roster. I agree. No need for a Jon Richie or Leonard Weaver type to take a roster spot when a backup LB can do other things.

That's awesome.

This is the  way going forward. Make  Jalen involved the least  amount as  possible.

The only issue with it so far is that when BVS is in, it's a run. So it's a bit of a tell. Maybe they'll add some wrinkles for that reason.

FB has been a fading position in NFL.  Only a handful of teams keep one.  BVS's chance to fill that role could due to the injuries along the OL and the TE position.  He could provide that extra blocking for opening and/or picking the incoming rushers.  Glad that it worked last game.  The coaches may keep that going for now.  When the injured players come back, then we shall know how committed they are to keep the FB roles going forward.

Trends have a way of circling back.  This was the offseason of the RB.  We have seen what a difference a star RB can make for a team.

Is that your burner account?

No, this is

It’s not exactly reinventing the forward pass or the west coast offense, but they could be onto something with a 2 way backup LB who functions as a FB.

FB has been phased out for a reason.  But it’s a nice look to show when teams think you don’t have a FB on the roster.

Have we?  Star RBs often look great in September and October.  Then the star QBs win the playoff games.

I hope we actually continue to use him, even add in a wrinkle and use him in the screen game. Moore could have unlocked a new play, let's see if he's smart enough to continue to use it

Used again this week. A lot of his plays led to successful runs as well. I like players who are willing to do whatever it takes to win. I feel like VanSumeren is going to become a fan favorite around here.
