I agree. I actually think the combo of Coop and Mitchell are already better than Brown and Lito, because they’re starting as rookies.

Brown and Lito didn’t start because we had Vincent, Taylor and Harris.

Yeah but this year we also had Bradberry, Maddox and Ricks.

I’ll get my coat

I feel like Mitchell is a better coverage guy than Sheppard. Sheppard was a dynamic return specialist. Ultimately, I think Brown was the better CB compared to Lito. Lito went to a couple Pro Bowls because of the returns, but he was less consistent. Sheppard and Brown played during the gunslinging era where INTs were a little easier to come by.

Q just needs to start catching the picks. I have a feeling once that happens, he’ll get them in bunches. If he can start doing that around mid January, that’d be really cool!

Yeah I’m aware, but they seem guys were also old at the time too. Nevertheless I still feel like these two are better.

Vincent was an All pro. Taylor was a pro bowler, and Harris was the best NCB in the NFL and went on to be a pro bowler.

They were gone the filling year. The point is right now Mitchell is a shut down corner and DeJean is a really good playmaker already. Lito was a playmaker, but never a shutdown corner. Brown was solid, but not nearly the shutdown guy Mitchell already has shown he can be.

DeJawn plays with intensity, he's aggressive, and all over the field. He's a player the opponent QB and OC have to be aware of. They're not even throwing to Q, he's already a shut down corner which is amazing. Then you have Cooper flying around making plays. What a combo in that draft.

EagleVA is only one guy. I'm sure he's busy right now ... you know ... with his scouting gig.

Yeah, I see you're busy with your gig being an arsehole.

Don't be mad because Howie is smarter than you. Enjoy the wins.

I 💚 DeJean

Hard to compare. Lito played very well and in general was covering the top receiver. They were both good.

Agree 100 percent.  When Coop's lightbulb went on in his head...like the last piece of the puzzle..defense started shutting down..everyone. Which allowed our pass rush to get to QB. Love it!!!

Don't forget how Terry McLauren was shut out by DeJean..and later praised him :" He does not play like a rookie.". Love DeJean play!

No Mclauren was taking about Quinyon not Cooper.

You maybe right, but I distinctly remember on one play Coop blocking down the ball meant for McLauren. I guess it is a team sport and everyone contributed to a shut down performance on that day. :))

dejawn made some good plays last night. Love the kid

Thank you to all the teams who passed on Quinyon... Thank you Giants for Saquon... Thank you Washington for DeJean... Thank you Dallas for being awful

He was talking about Mitchell there, but since DeJean has been inserted into this defense they have become one of the best defensive groups. That tackle by DeJean today on Henry was nothing you would expect a rookie to do though. As for Mitchell well he was targeted four times, had two passes defended, gave up two catches for four yards. Neither of these kids are playing like rookies.

Coop and Sheldon both have the hit stick down button for sure.

The final statement before the Super Bowl. What a great first year for Coop. Congratulations Coop on NFL recognition. Coming from a humble first few games to dominating end of the season performance. Good Luck in the Super Bowl.
